Some of my lines are Guthery, Brock, Bradley, Speegle, McCain, Hardiman, Miles, and Cheatham. My husband's lines include Farmer, Woody, Childress, Allison, Chambers, Reynolds, and Mays.

I am organizing my research for my children and grandchildren and sharing with anyone who is interested.

Ruby N Ray
Ruby is buried at Oakwood Cememtery in Tullahoma. She is the daughter of Obadiah G and Mary F. Baxter Ray. I just asked for the edit to connect her to her parents.

Patricia, I added your picture to his page. I, also, changed the caption on the picture with his grandchildren. Let me know if you think that it explains who the children's parentage.

Obadiah Gregory Ray and Minnie
I was glad to be able to solve a mystery picture for you. I would love a few mysteries to be solved for me like this. If you want to place a picture of the two of them on his Memorial Page, I am sure the creators would not mind. They probably would have transferred the page to me, but I didn't see the need as parents, etc. were connected. Ms. Minnie was a lovely lady. Now I have completed a little more of the puzzle. I did have his second wife as Minnie but without maiden name.

RE: Mary McCain
William M. Guthrie is my 3rd Great Grandfather and Martin Luther Guthrie is my 2nd Great Grandfather who was from Tennessee and later moved to Goucher, South Carolina. I do not have any records of the “Guthery” name in my line.

It took me a while to find Martin’s SC Death Certificate. His name was misspelled.

Correct Spelling – Martin Luther Guthrie
On SC Death Cert. – Marten L. Gurthey

RE: Hugh McCain or the Waxhaws
Hugh McCain is my 5th Great Grandfather and John S. McCain is my 4th Great Grand Father. Yes, I have heard about Hugh McCain being hanged by Cornwallis. I have not heard about the gold/leather or the “hatter” history for Hugh McCain Jr.. Very interesting, I will tell my dad about these stories.

Brushy Creek
Me gain. No problem at all with the photos you have, on EVERY memorial, of the church and the one of the CALVERTS. It is a very interesting one. I would not even want to change any of it. I was just stupid and didn't realize you were just showing the whole cemetery area! It is all just great with me. You have done a tremendous job on all your hard work.

Take care,

Kethy J. BEXLEY Crutchfield Akers
Her maiden name was BEXLEY. She first married Oliver CRUTCHFIELD, but I can not find a date, only know they had a daughter who was born abt 1899; d. 1958. On 18 Dec 1910 she [MRS. Kethy Crutchfield] married Amos H. AKERS in Cullman Co, AL. It is really the AKERS that I have followed, not Kethy!

Thanks for listening to my confusing info to you,

Brushy Creek Cemetery
Please forgive me for asking why you put this CALVERT marker with my KUYKENDALL cousins. I figured out you were just showing the cemetery and it is on all the memorials! So sorry for my stupidity.

Jesse and David KUYKENDALL
Will you please look at the photos of the 2 markers together you added to the cemetery photos of the above 2 people in Brushy Creek Cemetery? I don't think they belong with them but with the CALVERTs,

Many thanks for all your hard work,
