Beth (Jorgensen) Sparrow living in Polk County, Nebraska. Have photos and information on the following surnames: My father's line: Hanks, Fields, Jorgensen, Foster, Lindsay in Nebraska, Illinois, Germany and Denmark. |
My mother's line: Seggerman, Regnier, Junker, Michels, Barber, Sickmon in Nebraska and Illinois, Germany, France, and back to England thru Mayflower passengers.
Have photos and some information on my husband's family: His father's line: Sparrow, Foresman, Richart, Hubbard from Illinois and back east. Currently trying to gather records for my husband's Richart line back to the Mayflower.
His mother's line: Patterson, Thompson, Waterman, Smith and Krieg from Illinois and eastern states.
I also have researched my step-mother-in-law's family: Smith, Steward, Flick, Hill, Hughes, Whitacre, Cross and Glass from mainly Illinois, Indiana and east.
Please see my virtual cemeteries for specific relatives in these lines, and please contact me if you are related to any of these families. I like getting in touch with distant cousins.
Let me know if you want me to transfer someone so you can add more info to a relative. If someone is not my relative, I will usually transfer. Please state your relation in your requests for transfer.
Polk county cemetery info came from the cemetery or from the city/cemetery records. Polk county marriage info comes from the clerk's office at the county courthouse.
I am an avid cemetery photographer fulfilling requests in Polk county and trying to photograph all cemeteries in Polk county (where I live).
IF you use my photos in an online tree, PLEASE give credit by saying "courtesy of Beth Sparrow". It's very annoying to see your own photo in an Ancestry tree with no credit given. And you KNOW it's your photo because the bird poop is in the same place.

He is listed as being buried in the Ingleside Cemetery in Adams Co., Nebr. I found their list and it gives his name and death date.
OR could there be two of them?? Let me know.

Do you have a picture of a stone for Waldean "Wally" Johnson in Swede Home? Or maybe there isn't a stone yet.
I am with the Platte Valley Kin Seekers. We are a genealogy group in Columbus. We are trying to locate a cemetery called the "Island Cemetery" which we believe to be south of Duncan in rural Polk County. Have you ever heard of that cemetery? If so does it have another name? And can you help us locate it? Thanks

Please don't take my duplicate transfer request as being disrespectful or anything like that. I made a ton of requests at first, but my computer was doing something screwy and didn't indicate that I had actually sent a request for some people (only some... it was weird). So, without knowing any better I sent out another request as I didn't think my original one went through.
I really appreciate you taking the time to upload photos, note the grave location, and link him with family members!
|Nancy Stout||Harold Lawhead|
Thanks for the note. The marriage record you found in Polk County isn't for my Harold Lawhead. His name actually is John Harold Lawhead but he always went by Harold. He married Vivian in June 1941--they had known each other since childhood and were married for 47 years.

No problem! You cracked me up at first....Michigan? Ha, ha....I guess that it was most people think of when they hear "Detroit".....
Let me know if you need any more!
|Cindy Upton Triplett||Upton, Wayne|
I would appreciate if you would transfer this memorial to me, or approve the edits. Wayne would be my Uncle (I was born after he passed), my father's brother. I would like to link him back to the rest of his family.

Thank you for sending me the obituary Beth. I added it to Ray's memorial page and gave you credit.
