I was born in New Jersey in 1981, and have lived here most of my life. Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years, and in the spring of 2009, I began photographing cemeteries. I started purely for the artistic value, but as I've progressed, I've developed a genuine passion for the subject. I know very little about my own family history, but I've found something meaningful in helping others discover theirs. Who knows? Perhaps I'll find the answers to my own questions someday.|

...also, my mother has since passed and the memorial has been updated. See new image here #72931140. Can you link her as spouse of Dwight?

Would you please link my father, Dwight, to his parents?

Or turn over control to me?
Saw some of your images from Caldwell; lovely B&W work. Maybe we could compare notes about some of the better (visually) graveyards in the area? I'm based in Glen Ridge...

Could I copy your photo of Maria Hoyt to my ancestry tree which is private, giving you credit. Thank you so much for locating Maria Smith Hoyt! I am very appreciative of your hard work. They last name Smith can be very tricky to research.
Thank you again!

Thanks for adding the pictures of some of the sisters graves at the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell Cemetery. By the time I found the cemetery and my great Aunts grave I didn't have time to take additional pictures.

Thanks for your reply to my Thanksgiving note. I've been slow in replying but for a good reason - we found a specialist and have found relief for my mom's terrible chorinic pain, so it's a good thing! Other than that, hosetly not much to report.
Have any special plans for the break? This year, for a change, we're staying home. I'm thrilled, tired of holiday travel. What a joy it'll be to roll out of bed and go downstairs in my jammies!
"Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it." -- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
Wishing you hope like this, and sending warm wishes for the holiday and for a fine 2011. Thanks for your friendship.

Just wanted to send warm wishes...
The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway-
Thanksgiving comes again!
Wishing you and yours a splendid day, and giving thanks for your fine pics and friendship :-) I see you're still at it, you go!

|Barbara Schaffer||RE: Hanover Cemetery|
Hi, which sections were you in? Would love to keep track so we know what's been done.
|Barbara Schaffer||Jane Matthews|
Thanks for Jane's death date. Glad to see you are taking pics at Hanover Cemetery. Maybe we can work together and concentrate on all the gravestones that still need to be posted.
