Thanks for the info...very interesting! Thank you also for uploading Anne's death certificate.
Yes, that def is Charles' 2nd wife. Yes, please add her death cert. and I will add her stone picture later today.
On a side note, I've come across a second death cert. for Charles...some different information on it...weird. Take a look at his page and tell me what you think
Hi Sandra...a little update for you on Charles. We went to Vine Hills office today and worked with the woman there. She was absolutely as confused as we were/are :)
We did find Charles' plot card but neither of his wives are listed on it nor is he...even though both wives do have stones. But, they do know he is buried there because they have his Town of Plymouth Veterans' Graves Registration which she gave me a copy of.
So, we know that he is buried there with his wives but no stone. We are going to meet with the Veteran Administration and get him one of those white Civil War stones and have it placed with the others.
Also could you look up one more thing?
The Death Register of Mary E. (Kendrick) Pierce who died on 7 Dec 1883, in Plymouth, and make copy of it. Or let me know where ask for it.
She was the wife Benjamin Nye Pierce.
I know I'm become a pain,
We love you! You are like the information super highway! I'm doing all this without the aid of sites like Ancestry...and they seem to own every site on the web.
Harry, Bestey, Annie, Benjamin, and Mary are all buried in the same location. From the little info we have from older relatives, they always said Charles was buried there too but who knows.
I'm going to print off the death certificate and take it to the Oak/Vine office and see if they have any answers. It's a good possibility that he just doesn't have a stone. Supposedly, he fought in the Civil War so if he doesn't have a stone I'll be sure to get him one...as soon as I find his body lol
Thanks for the certificate!!

I saw the source when I opened the larger picture. Never mind.

Where did you find the picture of my
great-grandfather, A R Place, that you posted to his memorial? I haven't seen that one.
|Virginia Combs||Charles Cushman|
Thanks so much for the link...I had not seen this version of the Cushman genealogy before. I have contacted the manager of Charles' memorial and sent the information on to her in hopes that she will link Charles to his parents and first wife.
Really appreciate your information!
Sandy, you are awesome!
We can't thank you enough for the info you have passed on to us. Makes working our way up his line so much easier.
We found Benjamin and Mary today and I'm adding them to this site...thanks to you!
Now on to our next mystery!
The date 27th. may be the recorded date of the death record. I can't Thank You enough for the research you are doing. I only wish I could there to do it. I hope you find where she mite have been buried. I would like to put gravestone on her grave site. If she doesn't one.
