Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi Y'all. I'm a Central Pennsylvania native living in Eastern Georgia. I'm tracking down and documenting family names including Daugherty, Sprunger, Amstutz, Updegraff (and its variations Updegrave, Uptagrafft, Updegrove, etc.). I'm also interested in family names Antes, Bixler, Bressler, Coffee, Ferree, Gillinger, Habegger, Herr, Kendig, Logan, Pennington, Rothlischberger, Williams.

I'm part of the great Pennsylvania melting pot, a descendant of Scotch-Irish, Swiss Mennonite, French Huguenots, Moravians, English, German, and Welsh ancestors. The "huddled masses yearning to breathe free."

I'm also looking for my wife's family including Devaney, Hayman, Holley, Leffler, Ricketson, Robertson, Seiter, Street, Tuemler, Williams.

I'm trying to photograph as much as possible, and create an accurate, historical record. I'll be glad to transfer non-family members. I've enjoyed getting to know my extended family members through Findagrave.

Please visit my famous relatives:

Rev Hans Herr, Jr, Swiss Mennonite Bishop, 8th Great-Grandfather. (Herr)

John and Emma Lee
Hi Bill, My name is Mike Shugart and I am a member of Find A Grave and I saw your request for pics in Oakwood Cemetery, Jefferson, Texas. My wife and I will be in Jefferson for the annual Pilgrimage in May. They hold Civil War reenactments and we have never experienced one. I will do my best to find John and Emma and take pics of their headstones and post them for you.

Re: Clara Marsh
Call or write the office and get location of her grave. I got one for Francis last year but did not see hers. Could check again though

The change has been made. When I created the memorial there was no photo. The photo has 1872 so I made the change with a note on her memorial regarding the death certificate. Thank you for mentioning it.

RE: Thomas Dougal photo
You are welcome. There were other members of the Dougal family on the same marker on the other 3 sides but unfortunately my cell phone battery ran out as I was taking photos. The other sides were as follows:

Side 2:
David Dougal
a native of Edinburgh
he died July 26?), 180*
AE 76

Also his wife
She died June **, 1809(?)
AE 66.

Side 3:

Mary Peck
Wife of:
Thomas Dougal
Died Nov. 8, 186.
AE 86.

Side 4:
Wife of William Dougal
daughter of Sam (?) [remainder illegible]
who [she?] died Feb. 10, [year illegible]

Also their two sons:
William P, died March 26, 18*6
[illegible] died **** 180*
AE 5 days.

The stone is old limestone and a lot of it wa worn away. Asterisks are characters that are completely warn away. Question marks are present but difficult to read, and are my best guess.
