Having been a beta tester for the new EDIT system, it's great so far! Yes, there are concerns and comments but overall, those who have been using it have found this new system to be fast, efficient and a much better way to complete updates than the former email system. Am able to handle dozens of updates in a matter of minutes now instead of hours.|
Hunting down Gerberichs & all variants of the spelling. Burials with the sheaf of wheat logo in the flower section are descendants of Hans Gerberich from Altfeld, now in Germany, the surname translating to "rich in sheaths". (Still have thousands to find and add!)
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Don't bother sending it because it will not be added.
Finally, I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason. Not a difficult concept.

Thank you for transferring my wife's parents to us for managing. We appreciate your time in setting up the original memorial and the transferring of them to us.

|Jerry Shaver||Transfer of Family Members at Bay Pines Cemetery|
I would like to respectfully request that you transfer the memorials for Truman A. Horton (#51057571) and his wife Dorothy M. Horton (#51057562) at the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL to my wife and I. These are her parents. According to the Find A Grave guidelines, the request of a blood relative within one generation is within those guidelines. You had previously told me when I was asking about this transfer earlier, that members had "30 days to act of SAC's received." A request was made on November 13, 2013, and it has been thirty days. On November 2 and 9, I had also mentioned this request as a reference to my original requests of October 14 and 23. As I am rather new at Find A Grave, I thought I had made some mistakes in those October requests such as leaving off the memorial numbers and/or my own number, and that was why I received no response from you. I tried to correct that error by making a new request. I was not trying to upset you, as I apparently did by your 30 day comment and what you called excessive requests. My wife and I have waited the 30 thirty days with no transfer being done, so I am now requesting that you follow the Find A Grave policy of "Family First" and transfer her parents at this time. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks so much for the transfer of this memorial - that of my father - so I can link him to his parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc., all buried in the RI-MA-CT area.

I am researching Anna's family and found her memorial. I see she is liked to her parents. I have been unable to verify her parentage, do you have documentation you are willing to share? Many thanks in advance!

|Steve Walters||Incorrect information|
I was searching family when I came across Mary Ann Bierly-Crawford (ID# 13595402).
The birth and death dates that you have listed for her appear to be incorrect. The dates listed on her memorial appear to be the dates of her husband. From the picture with her memorial shows a death date in November.
I wanted to share this with you.
|TFickett||Ann Mary Sierra|
When I was adding a picture request for Ann Mary Sierra, Find a grave # 48965138, I noticed that you have her husband incorrectly listed based on the grave stones.
Her husband is Charles P Sierra Find a grave #50312534 (not Charles H Siepiela #49668332). They are buried together at the Florida National Cemetery.
Let me know if you have any questions.
