Hi Astrid.
I see on Find A Grave that you posted an article on Sergeant Smith. I'm looking for information on a B Smith, who may have ties to the Powell River, British Columbia area.
Thank you.
Grant Workman.

Jankowiak Loc
Pvt Gerald L. Lindenberger
Dear Astrid,

my name is Loc Jankowiak and I live in Southern France in the little town of Pertuis, liberate by the American heroes of the 45th Infantry Division. I'm an amator historian and I search everything on the liberation of Southern France in 1944 by American troops. I'm looking for the pictures to see the faces of our liberator and I would like to know if it will be possible to use the picture of Pvt Gerald L. Lindenberger who was killed in Southern France in August 1944. ( for a publication or something else and if it will be possible to send me the picture in better quality.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Major CS Shipman
Thank you for adding the photo of Major Charles Simpson Shipman, my 1st cousin, twice removed. I have my own memorial to the Major which contains much family information and links and have asked the CWGC to cancel their memorial. Would you mind transferring the photo to memorial no. 123038579. Thank you for your work. Wm. Lavery

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?

Thanks for considering my request. :)
