Bio Photo UPDATE: We have recently been given maintenance rights to the memorials listed in the 03. Maple Grove - Transfers virtual cemetery by a member who no longer wished to maintain them. Will transfer any of these to anyone who expresses an interest. Thanks!

We have been researching our family for about 30 years and have traveled to several states for genealogy. Many of our memorials are for "extended" family members, but others are not. We hope someone finds the information we post helpful in their own research.

Except for those photos listed within our *Posted with Permission* virtual cem, every tombstone or cemetery photo we post was taken by us on the date indicated in the photo caption.

-- All contributor-posted photographs are intended for PERSONAL USE, unless stated otherwise. To comply with current Copyright Law, you SHOULD NOT post (and/or republish) any contributor's cemetery or tombstone photos elsewhere without permission.

-- As contributors retain the copyright on ALL photos that they have taken and posted, it is actually NOT acceptable to just indicate you took the photo from Find A Grave (since this site does not own the copyright to any of the contributor-posted photographs).

Regarding our cemetery and tombstone photographs, specifically...

-- We will usually grant permission for unaltered OTHER USE when asked, but with the added stipulation that you provide a photo source citation (by referencing both "Find A Grave" [or] AND our profile name AND # in the Description) for any photographs taken from this website; for example, "Photo courtesy of Find A Grave Contributor: Law-Miller Roots (#47103448)".

-- Note that you can provide a link back to the Find A Grave memorial, instead of copying (i.e. Ancestry's built-in "weblinks" function can be used for this exact purpose). This option works quite well.

-- Please do not download and then republish any family portraits we post, as these come from private family collections.

NOTE: If we've submitted a memorial that you want to make corrections to, or if you would like a memorial transferred (and we're not also related in some way) let us know via the Edit Tab and we'll take care of it asap.

#103434171 Catherine Smith
Hi Marilyn. I see the dilema with this. I have the Brosius (I am a direct Brosius decendent-my grandma is a Brocious) genealogy that documents that she is not Catharine Delp. Catharine died abt. 1829. All the Michael Brosius children belong to her. Some time after 1829 he married her sister Elizabeth. Elizabeth is still listed as his wife in 1860. I could not find any thing on Catharine Harring, but I will con't to look. If he did marry her, it would have been in the 1860's. Which is stated on Michael's memorial page. Perhaps after Elizabeth died. The Brosius children attached to Catherine Smith do not belong to her. I can email you more genealogy to sort this out. I will help in any way I can.
Always great working with you,

RE: Christena
My cousin posted this picture which she agreed that I could use. I'm just trying to make sure the right credit is given. I'm not getting into anything else with you. Whenever I see any information that you have I do not use it. You said I had posted a picture w/o giving you credit, which was false, I made sure your name was there. I took the picture down. To me it just seemed petty on your part. It wasn't that I was using the picture for monetary gain, and it wasn't a real close family member, as this picture is. I don't care if you use pictures or info, I enjoy researching my family tree, and its not worth the hassle of such small stuff.

133713611 Harold C. Sanders
Hello, could you please transfer the maintenance of Harold C. Sanders to me. I am working hard on linking everyone to our mutual pioneer grandfather Jesse Sanders who was one of the first settlers to the Firelands.
Could you also please transfer Robert C. Sanders #133712692, Harold's son.
If you are not directly related to their spouses or children in some way that you have listed that would be very nice as well to have them transfered to me.
Thank you so very much.

RE: Kochems, Margaret Ann Copenhaver

Thank you for the note. I'm sorry to say that I've looked back over my material, I just cannot see why I would have put her at the New Salem Cemetery. I've tried to keep good records, but somehow I can't verify my entry. Do you think I should delete her from the New Salem cemetery? I would not want to do this without your ok, since you added such great detail on her. Lila

Kochems, Margaret Ann Copenhaver
Information is posted on her site that I did not add. If you added, can you confirm the accuracy of the data. And, at this point, I'm not even sure of her burial at the New Salem Cemetery. Can you confirm. Sorry for the confusion. L

RE: Caroline Decker, Find A Grave Memorial# 36321456
Okay, big foot in mouth. I jumped from 1850 to the wrong Catherine Decker in 1860, both born 1840 Ohio. I apologize for the mistake.
