Someone asked me to look up an obit for Catherine LeJeune. Would that have been you, if not I am lost.

RE: Ethel Placek
Oops, I just realized that we do have the specifics on their grave locations. I was remembering other relatives buried somewhere in St. Ann's Cemetery, with no records available. Getting the Placek grave photos will be very much appreciated.

RE: Ethel Placek
Oh, pictures! That would be just wonderful. When you take pictures, please also get Ethel's parents: Louis & Theresa Placek. We're certain they were buried in the same plot. If you get any indication of the name of the cemetery section, or any identifier, that would help too. Happy Holidays!!

Ethel Placek
Thanks so much for contacting me. I made those memorial pages for my friend, who is Ethel's 1st cousin. Their mothers were sisters. The cemetery was not able to find info on where Ethel & her parents are buried. We visited Ford City in July, when it was too hot to walk around in any cemetery. We plan to visit again next summer, but would be happy if you would take the pictures for Ethel & her parents' graves and post them. We live in Wisconsin. This is just amazing because we were almost ready to give up on finding those graves! Use my email if you would like to share any other memories. Again, thank you!

Hi Kathy,

Yes, it is bout the Civil War. Here is probably what it refers to:
"Veteran of: Civil War
Served in: Army
Dates of service: July 14, 1864 to November 14, 1864
Organization(s): Capt. Chas. B. Hall Company First Battalion
Rank: Private"

---- Lincoln
P.S. As an example of the same type of description -Look at my great grand uncle's stone at memorial# 60856752 - he served in "Co. H. 40th. N.Y. Inf. Vol.'s" per his burial card. I think in a certain period, at least in Allegheny County, when they provided marble stones to Civil War vets, they listed the unit the man served in, and that is what they did with your ancestor too.

Hi Kathy,

We are not related. I had sent in a correction for the cemetery here, and noticed the first listings, and thought I would look up the info for the first name that appeared on a lark. I have relative who has a similar stone as your g grandfather's (he was in the Civil War too, and died in 1920).

I got the burial card from Ancestry. The State of PA did them for vets. They are very informative.

Best wishes,
Lincoln

RE: Yerkes photos
Kathy, I added the photo since they all seem to be in the same area, but since I see not dates I have no way to be sure they are they same

Louisa A yerkes
If you notice, the headstones have no dates, so I am unable to determine if the Louise A that I have photo of is the same as the one are looking for.. I took the photo over a year ago and do not recall if they are in the same area.
