I am Margaret Tomer Rummens. |
In 2008, started to research my father's family: Lorenzo James Tomer. His mother's maiden name was Morningstar. My mother's family names were O'hare, Cunningham and Sherry (County Cork).
I've been building my family tree here and on Ancestry.com: Lorenzo James Tomer family.
I retired June 2014 from teaching in Chico, CA and Santa Cruz, CA.
I currently live in the Sacramento area.

Keep me updated on Cunningham and Sherry. I didn't get answer from earlier this year on familysearch.org.

Thank you very much for transferring her page. I now encourage you to request a transfer of her husband's page so that you can maybe get his Bio straightened out a bit.
It was quite interesting to see the note on his page that his death certificate showed that he died in Moon Township, Beaver County, because I have become very familiar with most of the townships in five or six counties in that area, and I was pretty sure that there is no Moon Township in Beaver County. It turns out that I was right--there isn't now, but there used to be. Isn't Wikipedia great?
I figured that I should write her Bio now instead of waiting until I'm working my way back through all my families, and was glad to see that quite a bit could be compiled from just four census records. I am looking forward to adding so much to so many distant cousins' pages in the coming years.

The asterisk indicates that the link was added on the other end, so you'll need to contact the maintainer of that page to get it removed.
Glad I could help out.

Glad to be of help!
Yes, the mausoleums are often very special places, very intimate, so I try to include a 'bigger picture' when I fulfill requests there.

For now I will de-link them as husband and wife, and await your update.

Glad to assist Margaret - and let me know what you resolve on Richard & Helen's status, and I'll edit as needed. I do see a 1930 US Census where Richard and Helen are listed as siblings (children of Percy & Edith), but the age for that Helen is off by 5 years so not certain whether he married someone with the same given name as a sibling.
All my best, Mark

Hi Margaret - now that you are retired, do you want me to transfer your Ludwig Tomer family memorials to you (or anyone else in the family)? I don't mind keeping them for as long as you want, but if you are doing more work, you may want them back. Just let me know. As I run into them, I can transfer them or you can send the request through the edit system (easiest way to do it for me). J.

Examine your picture for chair on far right. Does it have lion heads on both arm handles? It is similar to a picture with my ggm Kate Cunningham, chair handles have lions heads and claws on the bottom of chair feet. We are trying to locate that picture.

Recently you requested a transfer of unknown memorial from Mount Saint Marys, Kansas City, no answer back.
I am researching Cunningham, O'Donnell, McNellis, etc. from Kansas City to Chicago. Keep in touch, as we may crossover on Saint James Cem. there back to Pennsylvania.
