RE: Fern
That would be nice to take over her memorial. Thank you so much for your contributions and generosity. I might guess that I am the closest family member on Find A Grave.

Staff Sergeant Orville R. Hester
Staff Sergeant Orville R. Hester is listed missing in attacks in preparations on the attack on Sicily. His body was never accounted for. His name is inscribed on the Wall of Missing of the Carthage (North African) Cemetery in Tunisia.

I have just finished (early July 2015) a DVD "The stayed behind" about the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily, where over 1200 men and women were buried between July 1943 and April 1947. I have also a chapter "Missing in Action" where I would like to add your material (pictures of cenotaphs and/or newespaper clipping).

Can I have your permission to use yours, of course you will be credited

thank you

RE: Lavin
Thank you so much. I will find it no matter what. You just cannot image what finding a photo of him means to me!!!! I have been researching his mother's branch of the family since 1984 and there are still so many mysteries it is like going on a treasure hunt that never ends. You are an angel.

Carolyn

John William Lavin
You added what appears to be a newspaper photo of John William Lavin - Memorial 2556567. Can you please tell me where the photo came from? I would be so very grateful for any help you could give me.

RE: John Wood
No, I didnt see the photo but see it now, It is possible that his headstone was missed when they tabulated the cemetery books.

Edward Lane Photo Request
I fulfilled your photo request for, Edward Lane, today. His wife, Shirley (1928~2008), rests beside him. There is not an existing memorial for her. If you would like a photo of her grave please create a memorial and make a photo request with an added note similar to this.
Please, this request is specifically for Michael DeLost to post existing photos. Thank you.
Hopefully, this will deter another volunteer from claiming the request until I can add the photos. I will gladly fulfill. Mike.
