"Do not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain" From Findagrave rules.

You are welcome to use any photo I've taken.

Let me know if I have helped your family search; it's my REWARD for my work.

I will gladly delete a memorial of your family member; just ask politely.

Thanks so much.

" As life runs on the road grows strange,
With faces new, and near the end
The mile stones into head stones change.
'Neath every one a friend."
This lovely bud, so young, so fair, called hence by early doom.
"Refuse me not, this little spot
My wearied limbs to rest
Till I shall rise with sweet surprise
And be forever blest."
Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.

God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you one will ever know.
As I am now so you must be. Prepare for death and follow me.

RE: 132979752 Pare
I saw the footstone but apparently I didn't get a photo. That probably was Eliza Singleton. According to the cemetery records that I got from the Oswego County records center she was buried in plot 24 C and the Pares owned plot 24.
Kate Singleton Countryman's sister was Elizabeth Singleton Haven, who is buried in the Hannibal Village Cemetery with her husband, Cornelius. The Hannibal Historian told me that Kate's father was Thomas.
Kate and her husband, William, are buried in Riverside.

Thank you,

RE: 132979752 Pare
I may be related to Mary Singleton Pare but I haven't found positive proof yet. She may have been the sister of my great great grandmother, Kate Singleton Countryman. I think her parents were Thomas and Eliza Singleton. I believe Eliza is buried in the Pare plot but I haven't been able to find Thomas, who died in 1869. I could only find a footstone for Eliza. To complicate my research there were 2 Thomas Singletons in Oswego. The other Thomas had 3 wives and one of them is an Elizabeth. The other Thomas is buried in Rural Cemetery with his wives.

Thank you so, so much for volunteering to find and photograph this gravesite. I cannot express how happy my Aunt who is in her 80's will be, for this is her Great Grandmother's grave.

Bless you !

Thank you for locating and photographing my Aunt's grave stone. I haven't been able to get up there in many years. This will help me locate it again. It is good to know that someone has been leaving flowers.

RE: Jeanette's siblings
Okay, so she was one of Grampa Jud's sisters. Thank you for that. I didn't know how many siblings he had. Do you have info about burial?

RE: Judson Mealus
My grandmother was Hope Mealus Smith, daughter of Judson Mealus and Nettie Brown Mealus. They had five daughters, including Grama: Rose, Hope, Violet, Christine and Charlotte. They also had a son, William, who died at birth. Nettie died shortly thereafter, like within days.

RE: Graddy Family Cemetery Washington, Beaufort Co., N.C.
Hi Charlotte,

Thank you for contacting me about the Graddy Cemetery. We got the info on them from some death certificates, and some family trees on Ancestry. We have found out in the past that a lot of the death certificates have the wrong cemeteries listed which makes it impossible to find the right cemetery. I have also come across family cemeteries that had two or three cemeteries with the same last name. Those cemeteries can create a lot of problems. We have come across that problem with our family. Do you think we should delete the ones that you were not able to find?,or should we leave them for the time being. I'm wondering if they possibly didn't have a headstone marking the grave. We could also put a note on the ones that the volunteer could not find. If you could give us the surnames that you found, we will add them to the memorials. If you have any suggestions on what would be the best thing to do about this, we would appreciate it very much. We don't mind making changes to get the correct cemetery. Again thank you for any help you could provide.
