RE: William Hayzer
You're welcome. He's in the same cemetery as your g'father. When I cemetery walk, I'm always on the lookout for a familiar name. *Eileen

Geo Dougherty @ StL Calvary
I am sorry, but the office does not know exact where the section 5-4 is. It have not appeared on any map for 50 years.

Please see the caption.

Photo request Oakland
You left a note on the photo request asking if "Mrs. Bradshaw" were Sarah Bradshaw. The record book lists her only as Mrs. Bradshaw, and indicates that her burial is "unassigned" - which generally means Potter's Field - with no specific grave location and no headstone. (There are exceptions - when the burial records were simply lost.) But your question made me go hunt through the newspaper archives, and I found her obituary, which gives her first name as Anna.

RE: Nell Dougherty Mathews
Frances, Eugene, and Catherine Mathews are also buried with Nell in that same grave ... along with several Manning family deceased. I took photos of all four sides & I guess that the Mathews were buried later and there just wasn't room left to inscribe any additional names.
If you're not familiar with the Holy Cross data base which shows who's buried where, go to my profile where I list the steps to access it.
Any questions, just ask!
