Cecil Burns Murdock
Burns Cemetery
I'm a member of the Burns Family. Our ancestors are mostly from Nelson, Washington, Bullitt, Anderson, Mercer Counties. I want to find Philip Burns Grave Marker. He was born Burke Co. NC, died 28 January 1849 Washington Co. Kentucky. Philip was a Revolutionary Soldier.

I have located the Burns Cemetery, and was wondering who might own it, or is Deeded to someone? The cemetery is in bad condition, and needs attention. Some Grave markers need repair. Any information would be helpful.

Jacob Burns - 38077609
Hi Julie!! I see that you took pictures of Jacob Burns gravesite in Burns Cemetery, Washington County, Kentucky. It looks like not all of the cemetery has been photographed. Do you remember if there were any Rubys buried in that cemetery?

Jacob Burns had two sister, Catherine & Susannah, that married two brothers, Jacob Ruby & Charles Ruby, respectively. Charles & Susannah are my ancestors. I have been looking for their graves for a long times..... and I'm wondering if they are buried with Jacob and Catherine.

Any information you might have and be willing to share would be appreciated!! Thank you!!

RE: Phillips in Cobourg
Hi Again,

Cobourg does have a registry of burials but you have to go to the office to see them. Another site is Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid and they are online free. I checked your other ancestors names and they are indeed buried at the Cobourg Union Cemetery. I may already have the pictures but I have yet to go through them. This is a large cemetery and I still have more pictures to take when time permits.
