Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching since 1992. Geraldine McKinnie Weir (1932-2002), my father's cousin, taught me so much about genealogy. I really miss my dear cousin and friend Geraldine. In 1994, Geraldine helped me become a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. I now have 13 DAR ancestors, and I established two of the ancestors. My DAR ancestors are John Cole, Jesse Cook, John Garrard, William Barron, John Barron, 2nd Lt. Miles Gathright, Ensign Walter Poole, Major Croom, Zadock Bussey, George Bussey, Josiah Norris, James Patrick and Captain James Green.

In 1993, Geraldine found our Mayflower ancestors Stephen Hopkins and Giles Hopkins. Stephen Hopkins was a Signer of the Mayflower Compact. Stephen Hopkins was also to Jamestown, Virginia before his voyage on the Mayflower in 1620. On the voyage to Jamestown, he was shipwrecked in Bermuda with John Rolfe. In 1999, I became a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. I also joined the Jamestowne Society. I am a member of nine lineage societies. My ancestor for United States Daughters of 1812 is James Norris. Lt. William Smithson is my ancestor for Dames of the Court of Honor. I am also a member of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of the American Colonists, CSDIW and Pioneers of Arkansas.

I am also very interested in German genealogy. I have ordered a lot of microfilms of actual church records at the Family History Center. The Germans kept great records. I have all of my German families back to the 1600's and 1700's with some of the lines going back to the 1400's and 1500's.

I am on FIND A GRAVE because I want to help others with their research. I also want to link my ancestors with their children.

Daniel Smith
I took a picture of Daniel W Smith's military marker in Arlington Park Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas today (5/16). It is a bit wet from an afternoon shower. If you would still like this pic, message me please. I will take a better picture on a sunny day.

RE: Charles Eugene Spry
He had some very promising and good work for a young man. Initially I thought he may have been a casualty of WWII.

Charles Eugene Spry
Charles was an AAP artist in the 1930s 1940s before his death and I can find no record of his art. Any relatives remaining?

Susan, would you mind transfering this memorial
to me? She was my Aunt. Thank you.

Cecil & Lydia Lanmon @ Forest Park
I see you added a picture request for Cecil & Lydia Lanmon @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

Thank you,
Cecil Vaden Jr
