Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching for 30 years. I am a descendant of Matthew (Mathias) Irons who came to the MBC in 1630 on the Winthrop Fleet. The family moved to Rhode Island with Roger Williams then to Nova Scotia, back to Rhode Island with the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, then to Rochester, NY and on to western Illinois in 1830. I am also researching Kendrick, Booth, Hefley, Barbee, Minnich, O'Neal, Carroll and Randall,

RE: Fort Donelson National Cemetery
Hi Steve
Thanks for the return reply. I am not related to either gentlemen, I am a volunteer at Fort Donelson working on updating the National Cemetery data base.
Sadly, my time here is nearly up and I will be returning to Ohio on Wednesday this week. In my 5 1/2 months here, non of the rangers have spoken of a hospital here, but I do remember them mentioning a hospital where many WBTS soldiers were taken in Clarksville, TN. I will talk with the rangers tomorrow (Monday) and see if I can learn anything new for you, and will get back to you with anything I learn.
God Bless,
Debi Morris

E Dunham #72983843 Fort Donelson National Cemetery
I have been working on the Ft Donelson National Cemetery's database and photographing all of the headstones for the past 5 months. There is no record of an E Dunham being buried within the cemetery, however there is an Amos Dunham from Illinos.
There are 512 burials that are marked as Unknown. If you believe your E Dunham and Amos Dunham are the same person let me know and I will post that picture, if not and you are certain that E Dunham is buried here, you may wish to list that his burial plot is unknown.

M. Boggs #72983155
Steve - I tried to leave edits to Milton Boggs' memorial through your email, but the link would not work.

Milton is my 4th ggrandfather. He died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen during the Battle of Ft. Donelson on February 15, 1862. If you need sources to prove my edits, I can provide them.

Do you transfer graves to relatives? If so, I would like you to transfer Milton's grave to me. If not, that's okay, too.

Photo Requests
You have photo requests for Olive Lawn Memorial Park. I will probably be in the area in a couple of weeks. If you will email the cemetery, request plot locations and post those locations on your requests, I'll attempt to take the pictures:

Irons in Myers Cem.
Hey, how are you doing?

I was researching ancestry/find a grave for Myers Cem. Knox Co Ill. On website for Knox Co. Ill it lists graves in Myers listed by Mrs. Alvin Capps in Oct 1868 for Gen Soc. She shows a G.W. Irons, no dates. Do you know if George and Mary lost a child by that name? I am stretching maybe, but seems coincidental in Myers Cem. Thanks and have a great day. Enjoy your work.

Leon Doyle Ayers
I have been told that Leon Doyle Ayers is buried in the Olive Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. His birth and death is May 8 1936 and Aug 24 1991. I was hoping you could make a picture of his monument and post it on Find A Grave. I don't know what his memorial # is. Thanks so much, Mary Pearl
