I left find a grave because I kept finding my photos on ancestry without a by line. Now I have stumbled across photos from ancestry here without a by line. So I am teaching myself to water mark and will resume posting a few photos here as well as ancestry.|
I took these photos while braving cold, fire ants, fleas, heat, mosquitoes, rain, red bugs, roaches, saw briars, snakes, spiders, ticks, etc, etc…. and worst of all mean or unaware people. In addition I have driven to Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. So please do not just crop them and repost them.
If you use my photos from find a grave or ancestry I would appreciate a byline for EXAMPLE (Photo by: Norman Satterwhite) Thank you, Norman Satterwhite

Norman, I feel your pain and laughed as I read what you (and me) experienced while surveying cemeteries. Will you please contact me re: this man and his first marriage to Lydia Holloway? Thank you!

Norman, I am the lineage researcher for our DAR chapter in Pottsboro TX.
The only thing that I need to prove the lineage is connecting Isaac to his Parents. James and Elizabeth Satterwhite. Do you or someone that you know have positive proof of this connection.
Thanking you in advance

Thanks again for all your very helpful directions. I will plan on visiting within the next two weeks. I will let you know the results and send Lat/Long (GPS) coords of the cemetery for other researchers. Keith

Thank you Norman! All your info will be very helpful. I intend to bring my canoe down and access it by the water. I walked the road last time that generally winds along the shore, but must have walked by the sign. One final question...I understand that - though the sign is by the water - the actual cemetery in on top of the hill? So, expect a bit of a walk from the sign. Many thanks again. Keith

Norman, Thanks! That should be a BIG help. I will bring my boat and try to access from the river. To be clear, am I correct in understanding that the cemetery (sign) is visible from the water? Again, thanks for all you do. Keith

Norman, First, thank you for all you do. My name is Keith H. I have spent a frustrating day searching for Old Stowe Cemetery in Tallapoosa Co., AL. I know you have visited this site. Could provide more specific directions to the cemetery, or perhaps lat/long coordinates(gps)? I spent 4 hours today searching, and the map which had the location on it is obviously wrong. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. Keith

I noticed you put her info on Find A Grave, By any chance do you have her husband's name. I am researching the Carpenter line.

Thanks for the pic.

That is what I did. I was truely more interested in documenting to memorial than taking credit for it.
I have put your name to the photo but if you prefer I am more than happy to delete it and let you post yours.
let me know.

I received these photos grave marker photos about three years ago from a cousin researching George Oren Thomas Sr. I have no idea when he received them or from where. He also included a family photo of the Kerr family which is also posted on the site. I have added a credit to you for the grave marker photos, is the family photo yours too?
