~=~ THIRTEEN YEARS ON FINDAGRAVE! ~=~|
I run the USGenWeb website for Bell County, TX where some of my ancestors come from. However, I live in Denton County. I definitely find cemeteries to be a very fascinating part of genealogy research. Wish I had more time to help with documenting the local cemeteries, but we all do what we can!
Most of the burials and photos I submit are not going to be related to my ancestry, so it's usually not likely I'm going to have additional info. If you have a correction or additional details for a burial record I have submitted, feel free to let me know. Also, if you sponsor one of the burials I have submitted and let me know, I will certainly transfer ownership of the record. The surnames I am researching are DEAVER, MORRIS, FINTO, MASON, KELLER, SUMMERS, HERRING, HENRY, HAWKINS, SINGLETON, CHANDLER, and LOVELESS. We Deavers have been in America since 1657!

I believe James Hamilton Lancaster's birth is 1850, not 1860. He is an ancestor of my husbands.

Somehow the edit I sent you to link his wife ended up using his memorial number instead. Now he is listed as his own spouse. I must have made a typo as the two numbers are only off on the last digit. I've sent you a new edit. Sorry for the mixup.

|Diane & John||Re: Jesse Henry Hawks #35636116|
Hello, I'm not sure if you put in the links for Jesse's parents but since you created his memorial page I thot you might be able to help.
The parents showing for him are Jess Crawford Hawks & Bertha Lucille Todd Hawks in Lamar Co., TX. I received this email from a relative of Bertha's. So I guess what I'm asking is what is your documentation that these parents are the correct ones?
"Lucille and Jesse Crawford "Dutch" Hawks were my aunt and uncle (my Dad's sister). They had only one child: an adopted daughter named Colleen. Colleen died March 15, 2012 in Poteau, OK at age 72. I do not have her birth month and day. She was eight years old when they adopted her in Dallas County, TX. That would make her birth year approximately 1940. Unfortunately, I do not know the gentleman who is listed as their son in the links on this site. I will be happy to try answering any questions you may have. Thank you. Joye Todd Nix." http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=48526448

Thank you for transferring the memorial of Fanny Lowry (Lane) Lewellen to my care. Thank you for creating and managing the memorial.

Thank you for editing and linking Nannette to er family.
I noticed in your profile that you are researching the Chandlers. Are you related to them? William Jones Chandler was my grandmother's uncle who left Virginia and went to Texas. My grandmother always talked about going to Texas when she was young to visit his family.

Thanks for the transfer.
|William Gorman||W.T. Vinson|
Thanks for accepting my suggestions for updates to the memorial for W.T. Vinson. You will note that I manage the memorial for his wife, Mary Drucilla Vinson which is linked to his. She was my great-grandmother and he was her second husband. About 3 years ago, with contributions for several other of her grandchildren, I had a new marker made for her grave which is located just to the left of Walter Thomas marker.

I saw that you had posted one of the photos on my great aunt's memorial (Zelma Deaver Draper, #30230834). I thought we might be related and just wanted to say "Hello". My great grandfather was Frederick Marion Deaver, who was the great grandson of William Deaver and Susannah Birchfield.

a rubbing was taken of the transcription which read:
as a wife devoted; a mother affectionate;
as a friend ever kind and true.
Would it be possible for you to update
