The Love of Cemeteries and Genealogy
"You see death and sadness in these sunken patches of dirt, I see lives lived fully and the good deeds of past generations influencing the future ones."
"To rescue from oblivion the history of a large and honorable family is a praiseworthy achievement. Somebody must begin the work. It is to be hoped that someone will complete it."
Joseph Woodruff Bozeman, 1885
"A Genealogist must have the patience of Job; the curiosity of a cat; the stubbornness of a mule; the eyesight of an eagle; be blessed with the luck of the Irish and have the ability and stamina of a camel to go long hours without food or drink."

|Karla Kelley-Cardell||Thomas & Maude Jones|
Thank you so much, Darlene, for taking and uploading the headstone pictures of Thomas, Maude, and Harley Jones and Ted Weatherford, and Sylvia and Lois Simmons. I must tell you that I had a chuckle when I got the notification email saying you had uploaded the photos. You see, I had JUST gotten back from the library after copying the Jones' Memorial pages. Though their headstone pictures weren't on their page, someone had placed a photo and I wanted their page for my records. So you and I were on the same page, so to speak, at the same time. Me copying their page and you uploading their gravestone. I thought it was neat. Thank you again for the legwork!

Charles has no marker, Grave is where the yellow flowers are.
I added the other Ferry's.
Bernice, Edna May, and Harry A. were all on the same stone with Almira, Frances, and George (all four sides had names).
There were also three other Ferry's in the same section: William E. (father), Mary Louise (mother), and Blanche (wife of Leonard).
If you would like any of these transferred to you, just let me know your member # and I'll be glad to do it.

Darlene, Sorry that it took me so long. I tried to find the Ferry's in the snow but couldn't locate them and then my claim expired. All our snow is gone so I was determined to find them anyway. On the same stone there were three others that I haven't had time to do anything with yet, will try to look them up tomorrow and let you know.
|Erlene Best (Bremmer)||thanks for the reply|

|Erlene Best (Bremmer)||Hello cousin|
My name is Erlene, and Mary Jane Rice and Norton Gaylor Merrell where my 2nd great grand aunt and uncle. My great grandfather was Gilbert Cumming Rice 1871-1922, and my great great grandfather was Joseph Taft Rice.
Wondering if you have any old photos of the Rice family. I have some photos that I am wondering about.
|Joyce Nance-Woodcock||RE: Pictures|
You're very welcome; it was my pleasure and thank you for the kind words.
I have sent an edit to the creator for both Ida and Thomas to be linked and also for the gave locations to be added.
Have a great weekend!
