I have been researching my family history for several years. I recently found findagrave.com. I became a member thinking I could have my ancestors resting places documented here where future generations of my family would have an easier time finding them then I. While searching FAG I contacted some very kind people that helped me with my research and inspired me to "pay it forward". I decided to be a volunteer photo taker to that end. If I can help just let me know. |
"Your tombstone stands among the rest; neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care; it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist; you died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse; entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled so many years ago Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you."

|Nathan Haines||Robert Miller Haines, Sr|
I linked Robert to his parent's. You can see a little more of his tree now, that I have linked all together.
There is a really nice picture of Robert on the internet but I am quite sure it is a copyrighted picture and I am going to try and track down who I need to ask permission from before I copy and paste it onto his page.

Thank you very much. Robert was quite a guy. That was nice of you to get the Bio on there for me.
I have done a lot of work on his branch of my tree.
Robert's mother moved here to Oregon where I am along with some of his siblings.
There is a large road running through the SW part of Portland called Haines Rd, named after Robert's brother Benjamin Haines.
I am still trying to track down some of his siblings.
Sure, I would take a transfer. That would be neat. I will send you a request off of his page and that will make it easier for you.
Not sure I responded to you regarding the posting of the Weber Memorials. If not, thank you, Paul Everett
