I am descended from and researching two Williams families in Fullerton and Catasauqua, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania and trying to link the family members together here on findagrave. Both Williams families originate in Landore [Morriston/Clase] within Llangyfelach, Glamorgan Wales.
My Williams Families:
1. David John Williams of Fullerton PA; his parents: John Williams & Charlotte Prosser of Landore, San Pedro CA and San Francisco; his grandparents; David Williams & Hannah Clement of Llangyfelach and Skewen. David Williams was born at Cadoxton and was a copper worker with Williams, Foster, & Co., Copper Smelters at Landore and Skewen.
2. Emily Hannah Williams and her brother Thomas Rees Williams of Fullerton, PA and Llangyfelach; their father Thomas Williams Ironmonger of Neath Road, Llangyfelach. Their mother Mary Elizabeth Butler of Bristol, England; their grandfather, Rees Williams Iron Engineer of Landore and his brother David Williams Iron Founder of Catasauqua and author of "Welshman in Mexico"; their grandmother Anne Thomas who ran the Millbrook Inn/Arms pub in Landore, daughter of John Evans Iron Engineer of Landore. This Williams family is heavily linked to the Iron industry in Wales and Catasauqua.
The Prosser family of Morriston, Llangyfelach and Pittsburgh PA.
The Grauer & Schneider family of Württemberg and Germantown in Philadelphia PA;
The Hainaut Belgian lines of Pouleur & Delbar Families in Philadelphia and Connecticut;
The Young & Muir families of Scotland, San Francisco and Oakland CA;
The Dunken families of Pommern & Poland, originating before 1550 in Edinburgh, Scotland
The Jesse Families of Mönchhagen, Rostock and Mecklenburg
The Pardo & Pereyra [Pereira] and related families in Altona, Amsterdam, the Danish & Dutch West Indies...
The Colonial Butler family of Martha's Vineyard;
The Colonial Kingsley family of Massachusetts and Connecticut and connected families;
The Harwell & Avis families of Bristol and Somerset England.
And, the Revious, Fitzgerald, Goldstein and Wong families.
I am happy to be helpful to others, if I can.

|Linda Wisser||RE: Evelyn [Williams] Yohe|
Thank you for answering my email. I can't find a family relationship between the Wisser's and the Yohe's. First story was that Joyce was a relatives child. No luck on that. Seems the whole story was not talked about and the people who did know, are no longer alive. Her grandson gave us the story about her mother being hit by a car near the ppl and having two daughters besides Joyce. Also said it was not talked about in the family. He would like some info too. Thanks again.
|Linda Wisser||Evelyn Williams Yohe|
I am doing family research on my husbands aunt Joyce(Yohe) Wisser.She was adopted my the Wisser family.Joyce was born on July 16,1929 and on the 1930 census listed as a boarder at the Wisser home. Joyce passed away January 5, 1998. We were told her mother was hit my a car by the ppl building and that Joyce has 2 sisters.Evelyn seems to be a match. I need to know if you got your info from an obituary. I can not locate any info on her. Thank you for your help. You did a great job on the Williams family site
|Janice Dennis||Thomas Portman 1738-1819|
Do you have the baptism of Thomas and Mary Portman to prove they are born to Thomas and Mary(Taylor)Portman. Research has only showed Susanne to be their child
|Ed Moulder||Anna Grauer Waker|
Thanks for the note. Looks like we are closely related as Margaret Anna Waker is my grandmother on my mother's side. Anna Barbara Grauer Waker is her mother. I have met all Anna siblings with the exception of John> I may have meet him but he died when I was 8 so I don’t remember. Also remember meeting Anna’s husband John (Johann) Waker (also Wacker).
I have a cousin Ken Lee who has done a lot of work on the family. We are keeping the geneaology in familysearch.org. You can go in and establish a free account and then you will able to view the genealogy which goes back many generations. You can most easily get to the family by entering the PID for Margaret Anna Waker (L4WV-9J9). You will find your great grandfather list Johann Martin Grauer. Ken actually went back to the German records and although I do not know specifically on your grandfather than that is what he found in the birth/christening record.
As for find a grave a few years back my mother took me to the cemetery so I entered all the people in the plot and did not try to give a complete family genealogy. Hope this helps.
Also you find a grave information provides information I was unaware of on Martin Grauer. All I had known on him is he was born in Germany.
Thank you for the help.
