I have been interested in genealogy for as long as I can remember. I am thrilled with this site as it enables me to share with others and maybe help them in some small way.|
Please notify me if you find any errors, duplicates, or if you disagree with my info.
Please feel free to ask for transfers as I'm not related to a lot of the people I create memorials for - just trying to get the information out to those of you looking to find friends and relatives. If I'm related and don't want to transfer, I will let you know. I deal with a lot of memorials, requests, emails, etc. so please don't assume that I will ask if you want a transfer - I'm assuming that you will ask if you want it transferred. :) I'm not doing this for the numbers, I'm just trying to help out those who are searching for loved ones and missing pieces to their family history.
I have taken most photos with a simple brushing off of the stone so if you find a photo that I have taken and you think the quality could be better - let me know and maybe I can go back and get a better photo (by cleaning the marker, taking when the lighting is different, etc.). I can't make any promises but I am certainly willing to try.
Good luck with your research!

I see that newspapers.com says that there is an obituary in the Daily Capital Journal, Salem, Oregon on August 18, 1955 for him. You have to pay to see it.
Above is a excerpt of the message you sent me. I attempted to access the Daily Capital Journal but "no one" seems to have a copy of that particular paper.
I don't know if it would do any good to go look for it, but if you have time sometime to do so, I will appreciate it.
I am thinking about taking a trip out there to Eugene/Springfield area next fall but do not know if I will make it. I have a cousin at Willows that I have been trying to make a connection with but have not been successful in setting up a date to get together.
Thanks for everything.

I am so grateful you took a picture of their headstone, and made the Find a Grave memorials for them. The Weidenhamers had been searching for some clue where they were buried, as Helen's family resided in the Washington, DC, area. I have made the request for Helen's full name, and links with her parents.
If you don't mind, I am going to place your name and Find a Grave cont. number on the photo of their headstone, and then place the photo on Ancestry.com, if that is acceptable. I am in the habit of placing names of contributors on the headstone photos I find on Find a Grave before placing on Ancestry, because the contributor name will show up on the picture. This eliminates drastically the pirating of pictures, and gives credit where credit is due.
Let me know if you don't want this picture placed on Ancestry.com. Nancy Gawthrop
Thanks for the transfer. I appreciate it.
