|Hi all, In the time I've been on Findagrave, I've put up such photos as I have and created sites and linked people to their families as far as I'm able. It is difficult for me to get away to get photos, but what I do offer is over 20 years of research and information on various family members. I've been putting up their memorials when I find their places of burial and hope that others will be willing to chase down the photos for them. SFW|

Calkins nose? Hmmm, I must take a better look. Actually, I just checked to look at that photo and it's not the one I thought. Yes, that is an older portrait and may well be accurate and contemporary. I got that from someone on Ancestry.com.
There is another portrait of him I found that looks much more imagined after the fact. If I trip over it again, I will send that to you.

Hi "cousin" Sandra,
Honestly, I've no idea where I found that portrait of Jonathan Calkins. Somewhere on the web. It was clearly identified as him, but I assume it was someone's imagination of how he looked. Unless they worked from a sketch of some sort, which is possible. Costume looks more or less accurate for the era.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It was my pleasure to help. Winter likes to play games with us this time of year. Blizzard one day, 50 degrees the next. Yesterday was a perfect day to walk through the cemetery. I photographed about a dozen graves.

Hi Sandra. I should have mentioned that I'll be going to Lander later on today and I will definitely look for Lee´s grave and get a photo of Earl's.

I'm sorry. The cemetery only has one Wamsley listed. That is Earl. If you get any further information, I'd be happy to pursue this for you.

You are so very welcome! I've taken the entire cemetery now and just need to get all the pictures posted. I'm so glad I could help!

No - I got the file you sent on John and Jemimah with no problem. I also added you to my address book so there is no reason your E-Mail should not have come straight to me. But I just checked and there is nothing there. I even checked my junk mail - just by chance. Try my yahoo address: firstname.lastname@example.org I never use it - I will go to it right now and make sure it is empty. I will be sure to check both accounts regularly until I get it. Then I will let you know it is here. Thanks so much

Going back over recent notes - forgot to ask you if you know where Aramina might have been buried. Also, about her descendants. I am trying very hard to get all this coordinated to make things easier for the John and Hannah Dalrymple descendants. I am a member of DAR and had a "road map" so to speak of my ancestors, but no verification. I would like to make this simpler for others wanting to join lineage organizations. Any ideas you may have on Aramina, Jemimah or even another sibling of theirs would really be appreciated.

I have a question on John's children. You list Wilson Henry, Alfred Williamson, Sanford William, Thomas H. and Frances Ann but you did not list William Hook, their second child. I believe also after looking at the census that Frances Ann is one of the children of John B. and his second wife Martha. In the 1880 census she along with Eliza R., Anna A. and Edith state their mother was born in IN. Hopefully you have some thoughts on this and can help me. Thank you, Claudia

Sandra- Perhaps we can work together on the Hardins in Ashe given that you are related and therefore know a lot about the family and I am "in the field"? Please let me know if you move those memorials to "Goodman, R Thomas" so that I can get the duplicates deleted.
I recently also photographed "Frank Hardin Cemetery" near Fleetwood. It is one that would be better listed in my opinion as Hardin (Frank) Cemetery. Then a cemetery search of Hardin would bring it up. If you have any relatives there you would like to manage just let me know. I try to do some links on every memorial I create but not knowing the families makes it difficult sometimes.
Do you happen to have directions and/or GPS for Duncan-Hardin-Ray and Goodman Family Cemetery? DHR looks to be mostly done but I would like to photograph it to make sure and to see if some of the people listed as being there might be somewhere else.
