I am currently president of the Preston Historical Society. We have been involved in transcribing church records, trying to repair our meeting place, the Old Town Library, and getting our records in order.
Personally, I am a retired teacher, with a love for local history. I have been volunteering with LDS and transcribing census, birth and death certificates. I am also interested in genealogy.

RE: Question...
Hi,

I found another person that has a bio that says he is the city cemeteries historian for the Norwich Historical Society and he also serves as a board member for the Connecticut Gravestone Network, His name is Dave.

I sent him basically the same question.
The website gives no location for the cemetery and I found it through hale-collection.com

Thanks Linda

Question...
Hi Linda, first I want to thank you for all the help you have given me with edits!!!

My question is have you never come across a cemetery called Brumbley Cemetery? It is in the Town of Norwich New London County, Connecticut. I am researching Spicers and Brombley/Brumbleys buried in Norwich. I found the cemetery through a Google search but can't find it listed in Find A Grave.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated...
Thanks, Mary Lou

RE: Avery
Thank-you for the Avery Family transfers. The Preston Cemetery has so many of my ancestors. I have been able to research and connect many family members. I am not so successful with the older obituaries but have come across some really nice photo's. Can't wait to go back for a visit! Thank-you again!
