I've been researching the Gladdings/Gladdens/Gladings/in Michigan, & the related families of Van Giesen, Beadle, Christensen, Hopkins, Craig, & Comstock, trying to link back to the first Gladding in the US we descend from. I married into Herweyers, Hoekwaters, Vogels, Shulers, Shepards, Gundermans, & Hutchings and am researching those family members also. I find researching challenging and fun! Many thanks to all who helped me in my searches.|

I've done more research on Daniel's birth day. All of the census records and Civil War records have birth year as 1833 or 1834 and birth place as N.Y. I made the other additions and added his parents names to the bio. Thanks for all the info let me know if you have any more on the Craft's.

Thanks for the info. on Anna Craft, I made the corrections.
|Diana Popp||RE: Betty Lu DeGeus|
Thanks for Betty's birth date!
I have been looking at my Comstock line and don't see a connection, yet anyways. The Comstocks are one of my family lines that I need to do a lot of work on. I will be keeping a eye out for any connection to yours.
so no s on the end? Just wondering as that is how it is on the death record (with the s) I want to be accurate
|The Lady in Black||RE: Grace Sloan Orloff|
Grace Sloan Orloff was the wife of Clinton Everett Mead, whom you had made a memorial for:
In your biography of Clinton, you wrote:
"Son of Delazon Elmer & Eva (Donaghey) Mead, husband of Grace (Sloan) Mead, married March 8, 1912 in Windsor, Essex Co., Ontario, Canada."
She's Grace (Sloan) Mead, who remarried a man named Orloff after Clinton's death. Clinton and Grace are buried next to each other at Woodmere (her tombstone says: GRACE MEAD ORLOFF.) I assumed you knew who she was, so I transferred her to you. I probably should have asked. If you don't want her, transfer her back to me.
Again, I should have asked first.

Thanks for posting what you had, but I think you should remove it. It doesn't match, so I guess this memorial will have no photo. Grave could even be unmarked, who knows. I do appreciate all your efforts on this though. Volunteers like you make this so rewarding!
|paulswife||RE: Winifred Smith|
Thanks so much for the reply Jayne. I thought it was strange that there was no photo there. Have a great day!

I got a message from Find A Grave that says you filled my photo request for Winifred, but when I look at her memorial page there is no photo there? I'm confused...
