I am Richard L. McBrayer, a retired 76 year old who has been involved in my family history for many years. I have recently tried to find grave sites of my ancestors. I had about given up on some when I came across Find A Grave. I live near Berea Church in Hampton, Ga. Joe Turner, the man who did all the work to make the Berea survey gave me the approval to add the Berea list to the site. Joe spent one whole summer compiling this information. There is some 1,400 plus names. I have also contributed to other Cemeteries where I have relatives buried.|

Richard, I've already submitted the links for her and others using the new edit feature. Maybe you haven't noticed. Go to your profile page and look for the tab at the top that says "edits." When you have edits pending your approval you will see the number listed. All you have to do is click on the tab and then click on "approve." No longer do you have to go to the memorial page and type in the numbers. I typed in the numbers when I submitted the edit.
I was a member of the society for many years starting back in the day when it was Ancestors Unlimited. I always loved receiving the quarterlies and think I bought every book that was published. Then due to changes in my life and a very busy schedule I let my membership expire. I have deep, deep roots there!
Just thought I would drop by & say hello. Surely we are distant cousins. I came across your name as the creator of a memorial for one of my distant relatives in Henry Co GA. And I think I've seen your name as a member of the Genealogical Society of Henry & Clayton Cos GA, right?
My McBrayer line is though my gg-gmother, Sarah Susanna McBrayer Waldrop, daughter of Andrew Erwin & Nancy Ann (Leathers) McBrayer. You can click on the links in my virtual cemeteries if you are interested.
Who is your line in this big McBrayer family? I'm thinking we probably connect around Samuel, son of William & Rebecca.

Hi Richard! Nice to hear from you! I hope to speak to Aunt Lottie soon! I have a good bit of information about Tag's disappearance recently and I am working to write it up as an essay or family story. I hope to talk to Aunt Lottie about it soon! Thanks for writing.

Many thanks for getting the picture for Willie. P. Adair. I send you some more information on him but I am not sure if it went through...I got en error message. His full name is William P. Adair.
He was a Private in Company D, 3rd Battalion Georgia Infantry "The Barnesville Blues". This company later became Company B, 4th Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters.
