My name is Don, and I live in LaGrange, GA. I spent most of my life in Maryland, but when I retired, I move to GA. Since 2007, I have been the GA GenWeb manager for Troup County, GA, and have made extensive surveys of the smaller cemeteries in Troup County, GA. My GenWeb website can be found below.|
I have extended my work to several additional cemeteries in either Troup County, or in counties near the Troup County line. I am currently computerizing the cemetery database for Troup County Archives. and have records for almost 22,000 graves in about 300 cemeteries. If you need help in Troup County, GA, I will be glad to help.
I enjoy researching cemetery gravestones. If I have listed a grave for which you are related, and you desire to actually manage that grave, let me know and I will transfer control.

That you so very much for the quick response & transfer of John William Owens' memorial.
And again Thanks,
I can't thank you enough for creating this memorial and now for transferring it to me. This is the son of my third great grandfather, and we hadn't been able to pinpoint where he was buried based on the Confederate war records. You have helpped bring closure to our search for this family member.

|Susan Denney||Gabrilla Forbes|
Could you possibly tell me who is buried nearby Gabrilla Forbes in New Providence Cemetery? It appears to be a family plot in the photo, but I can't make out any of the other names. Thanks very much.
|Churchwell||John Gunn - 1896|
I have the entire 1896 "LaFayette Sun" and his obituary is from that paper. This is not the first time I have found incorrect death dates on older tombstones. It's far more common than you might imagine. The old newspaper obits confirm it.

I was searching files for updates and ran across your memorial for K C Gaines. He was my third G grandfather and I've been looking for his resting place for several years. I have a memorial for him, as well. I would like to merge the two.
|Jamie "BamaFann"||Celia Jones|
I meant Celia Jones not Nina Jones transfer. Thanks again.
|Jamie "BamaFann"||James & Nina Jones|
Thanks for the transfers I greatly appreciate it.
|Nicholas Thornton||RE: Memorial 63260553|
Thank you for all you have done, and yes they are my grandparents. I am also working with Troup County archives to ensure that I have the right people as far as my great grand parents are concerned. My family had a bad habit of not writing things down, so it has become difficult to nail down that side of the family. Again thank you for the correction, we are only human.
|Nicholas Thornton||Memorial 63260553|
The photos that have been posted for this memorial are not for the individual listed. My name is Nicholas Thornton and the photo graphs you have are of my grandmother and grandfather and not of Henry Mulkey. I am currently researching my family history and if you have found my great grandfathers grave them my great grandmother may be there as well and I am curious about her maiden name. Thank you.
