I am not directly related but distant cousin through Collier Barksdale and Matched DNA with you and several other of his children. You with Mourning, also Joseph, Elizabeth, I think there is another one but have to go back to The DNA results to find it. I am from John Barksdale and Unity Martin, Thomas Henry Barksdale and Collier are brothers and Thomas Henry is John's father so John and Mourning. My John is the uncle of Mourning.

Hi:

William is my great, great, great, great grandfather on my paternal grandmother's side of the family. I have his DOB as 2/7/1822 in Putnam County. Died 12/2/1902 in Campbell Co, GA.

Hope this helps!
