Bio Photo NOTICE: I will be unable to address SACs or any other F.A.G. concerns until at least Friday, 18 July 2014. Thanks

I am the current Executive Director of the Casey Family Assn. Inc.; compiling and researching the Casey family history since 1992, and personally since circa 1982.

Our particular Clan Casey, even prior to 1725, when it first arrived on American shores, has been predominately Scots-Irish Protestants in faith and loyalties. No offense intended to those Casey clans of other persuasions.

US Navy veteran: CTR3 (Communications Technician, R-brancher), USN (1967-1971). I'm looking for any and all former NSG Hakata, Japan CTs.

I support transfers to known relatives! After all, who is better qualified to manage a memorial than someone with a caring, kinship interest. However, please be somewhat specific in your requests. "This is a relative's memorial" will not suffice in the future. If you're only third cousins, five times removed, please just let me know. I'll probably transfer. Unfortunately, it only takes a few to make the majority of good contributors look bad.

And please let me know if you wish any of my photos removed. Especially the temporary grave markers, in lieu of permanent.

Stop by and pay a visit to my hero dad, Sgt. Raymond L. Casey.

"Our Country! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but right or wrong, our country!" Stephen Decatur.

Use of Photos
Hello Mike, I am doing a family tree for a lifetime friend as a surprise and would like to get permission to use some of you tombstone photos of her family members for this project. Right now I am working on the Purdy family in Texas. Thanks for your consideration. Debbie B

Thank you for the correction on her burial location in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. I do not know how I came up with the actual location, but thank you for the correct information. It has been changed.

Nell Howery Memorial
Dear Mike.....I appreciate so very much that you transferred Nell's memorial to me and so quickly too. Thank you for sending the extra message to let me know. This means so much not only to me, but other family members as well. I just happen to be the one who really enjoys creating and managing the memorials for our family. I have added a bio and picture given to me by Nell's daughter. Thank you again for your help.....Jacque

Nell Howery Memorial, Rose Hill Cemetery
Dear Mike.....Nell Smith/Howery is my cousin, the daughter of my grand uncle Lindsey Smith #76788009. I am close with this family and I wanted to make a memorial for Nell but I waited until I spoke with her daughter today to make sure she was in agreement since she does not do the family genealogy. So, when I started to make the memorial I realized that you already had made one just a few days ago. I would like to know, if you are not related, will you transfer her memorial to me so I can write her bio and add personal pictures. I also have other family members in Rose Hill, James S. Smith #76787595. Thank you so much for your consideration of my request.....Jacque Brandau #480565828

Francis Marion Casey
I descend from Amanda Jane Casey, the daughter of Levi and Polly Haggard Casey. I am researching information on Francis Marion's line. Do you know anything about their daughter Sarah Ellen Casey? She shows up as a 3 year old on the 1860 Census and then disappears.

Also, do you know anything about Sis and Ben McKinney? I know they did not have children of their own, but took in foster children. I see a Sarah McKinney on the 1870 Census and wondered if it could be Sarah Ellen Casey as Francis Marion and his family lived on the next farm???? There was also a Daisy Shawley McKinney living with them later. I'm confused! HA

Any help/insight would be appreciated!

Thank you!
