Bio and Links
Hi,

My name is Sandra Moore and I live in Mason, Michigan. I'm a wife, mother of three children and grandmother of eight grandchildren. I became interested in genealogy in 1999. I enjoy sharing my family information and photos with others and helping out anyone else in their genealogy research through cemetery records. I found out about find a grave website back in 2000 and never thought about helping to enter information or take photos at the cemetery till now. I have found others that have done so and so appreciate their help and now I want to do my part with volunteering in putting up whatever pictures I can or adding information from the cemeteries. To all that have entered names on cemeteries, my many thanks go out to you. Keep up the good work. Also if I happen to make a memorial page for a relative and you want ownership, I have no problem turning it over to you and will be more than happy to do so. Also if you happen to find any errors, please let me know and I will correct it right away. Sometimes stones are hard to read. I try to be as accurate as possible and do research on my own if I am not sure of a name or date or relationship. Please feel free to use my photos in your family tree.

Also please ask for transfers (giving me your member number) and to add any information under the Edit tab at the right hand top of the memorial page and not on my message board. It's a lot quicker and easier that way as it takes me directly to the persons' memorial page. Thanks!
Sincerely, Sandra Moore

RE: Laura (Phillips) Treichler
Hi, Sandra,

I'm not related either so there's no real need to transfer Holder. The only reason I can see to do so is it might be easier to transfer the whole family should a relative find them. It's been very gratifying to see how many folks in Greenwood have "gone home" to their families.

I spent more time yesterday with the Phillips and Gordon families - it kept getting more confusing! Silas Gordon has a marker with his wife Emeline in Greenwood, but it now appears that that might be a cenotaph. I found Michigan death info for him and another memorial - I've asked the manager of his MI memorial if she remembers where she found the burial info - if it's from cemetery records or a death cert I didn't find, he's most likely in MI and the Greenwood marker is a cenotaph. Just wish I could straighten out the wives situation. I think Eunice or Emily Swett died between Eunice M/Marie/Maria/Mariah E's birth in 1844 and the 1850 census, where Silas' wife is shown as Emeline. But is Emily a nickname for Emeline? If so, that might make Eunice and Emily and Emeline the same person - or Eunice and Emily/Emeline sisters or cousins. Oh well, more work for today when my brain is a bit clearer!

Anyway - thanks for all of your work on find-a-grave! And for the nudge to get working on this family. Guess it might make me tackle the issue of the Sweat/Swett/Sweet families in Greenwood! I was actually hoping to put untangling them in the future. ;-)

Take care.

Kathy

John and Albert Gruet
Hi Sandra,
I was wondering if you would be so kind as to transfer the memorials for John B Gruet # 52926345 and Albert Gruet # 52926337 to me when you get a chance. I was going to send a bunch of info so you could update the memorials and then realized it would just be easier if I had them so I could get all the links and such requested also. Neither of them have descendants that we know of and I hate to see them so disconnected from the family. I'm their 1st cousin 3x removed through their mother Emmazetta Thompson's sister, Nancy Thompson Sias. I did upload a family photo to both of their memorials. Thanks

Laura (Phillips) Treichler
Hi, Sandra,

Thanks for the edit for Laura (Phillips) Treichler! Although I have the info in my genealogy, and I posted her memorial a long time ago, I hadn't gotten it all together. And then you came along and gave me a gentle push!

Are you by any chance related to Laura? Samuel and Laura's son Everett married Lillian May Bunker, a member of my Ortt family.

Thanks, again!

Take care.

Larry Smith
Isaac Brandeberry Memorial
Hi Sandra,
I have a copy of the Death Cert. for Isaac and tried to add it to his Memorial# 26378045 and received a message that only 5 photos are allowed.
Could you removed one of the duplicates of his gravestone so I could add his Death Cert.
Tks,
Larry

Grave photo for Orland Van Root #124796197
It looks like you take lots of pics. I don't know if you keep copies, but, if you do, could you add the photo from the memorial to the following memorials:
124795153 Caroline B. Cook Van Slyke
124795317 Charles Van Slyke
124795560 John Van Slyke
124795619 Hattie Van Slyke
124795662 Anna Van Slyke

Thank you, Judy Muck

Oscar J Becker edit
Hi,
I am Oscar J Becker's granddaughter. His middle name was just the letter 'J' not spelled out Jay.
He disliked his first name and people called him OJ (sometimes Grandma would call him J, too).

Martha Alvers Putnam, #54355294
Hello.

I was reading your information on Martha Putnam and came across this sentence, ďNancy was the sister to my 3rd Great Grandfather, William Letson (wife Catherine Stoner).Ē I am the gggg-grandaughter of Williamís brother, Daniel Letson (he would be the second). Iíve been researching the Letsons for 30 years, and wrote The Northern Letsons in 1997. Iím currently writing an update to this book (it was written before the Internet and I relied on others for my data) and would love to share information with you. Are you on ancestry.com? Iíd also like to ask your permission to use any of the headstone photographs you have provided for the findagrave site for my updated book. I would credit you, of course, something like ďThe photograph was provided by Sandra Moore (#47025864) at findagrave.com. Iím looking forward to hearing from you.

RE: James Sanders 50925153 Oak Grove Cemetery
If you find more, I would appreciate knowing what you find. Do you know who the informant was on his Michigan DC?

In census records, it seemed to have changed from PA to Ohio, but I do believe he was born right in that area, on the border between PA and Ohio, likely in Trumbull Co, OH. I found him with his father, I believe, in an early census record, but I am still working on that theory. This is NOT an easy line to research, at least for me.

Thanks much - appreciate any and ALL help. Would DEARLY love to find out who his parents were.
