RE: Isaac Meacham #111260555
Teriesa,

Thank you for your message. I have no information on Rosetta Rosina Meacham's marriage. I have only that she is the child of Isaac Meacham and Phebe Thompson. And I have some information on Isaac Meacham's ancestry.

My two sources are as follows:

1) "Isaac Meacham . . . was born in Williamstown, Mass., April 3, 1766, and married in 1799, Phebe Thompson, who was born in Pawlet, Vt., May 27, 1777. They located in Benosn, and had the following children, viz.: Ansel M, Alanson, Alonzo, Aurelius A, Rosalia and Almeda Lorett. Phebe, the mother, died in Stockholm, N.Y., in 1839 ; Isaac, the father, died in Barnadon, May 15, 1844."
[Source: Caverly, AM: History of the town of Pittsford, Vt.: with biographical sketches and family records, Pittsford, VT: Pittsford Historical Society, 1976; p459.]

2) " Isaac Meacham, grandfather of Ozro Meacham, was born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, April 3, 1766. Later his parents removed to Benson, Vermont, one of the first towns settled in the county after the Revolutionary war, and here he resided on a a farm until 1833, when he removed to Brandon, Vermont, where his death occured in 1844, at the age of seventy-eight years of age. He married Phoebe Thompson, who was born in Pawlet, Vermont, May 27, 1767, and the following named children were born to them: Ansel, a successful farmer of Pottsdam ; Alonzo, who went west and was never heard from again ; Aurelius A., a wheelwright in Brandon, where he located early in life ; Rosetta Rosina, who married and accompanied her husband to Illinois ; Almena Losette, who married Mr. Rich, a resident of New York, and Alanson Meacham."

I can only confirm he went by Henry Nordyke, his wedding and death dates. I can not confirm his country of origin. Holland is mentioned in a book about Indiana businessmen. That is the same publication that called him "Stephen Henry"

Casper Hinkle
Theresa how are you related to Casper. Only Levi, Fanny, (how married Alex Hinkle) and Charles are known for sure. Wondering if you have any info on Andrew Hinkle, the only one left unplaced. I am from Elizabeth and Thomas Nations line.
