Harvey Whitenack
Hi, Julie

You have a memorial for Harvey, Memorial# 105227659, and in the bio you say that he is the husband of Serena Ardelle Carter.

The headstone photo shows Harvey and Addie M. (I have Addie as Addie M (Massie) Whitenack, Memorial# 117075529.

I find census and marriage records for Harvey and Addie but none for Harvey and Serena.

I do find records for Serena Ardelle (Carter) Wickersham, including Memorial# 27843803, marrying John H. Wickersham.

I wonder if you could check your records on the Harvey Whitenack marriage to Selena.

Harvey's mother, Elizabeth (Sanford) Whitenack is my first cousin, 4X removed.

Regards,
David Bartelt

Hi!

I got the information from the Brown County Cemeteries book. No idea if they're different people or the same. I guess more research is required.

RE: Anna Laura May
I have not seen her burial marker, but I got information from the Woodmansee book & I think she is entered twice. Once with her husband & once under her maiden name. Right now I'm unable to find her obituary.

Ambrose Barber Carter
Hi Julie- I believe we spoke a few years ago about our mutual Grandfather. I found this website and saw you visited Kentucky. Please let me know if you ever come back! I would love to meet you. I noticed that Ambrose's middle name was misspelled. It is actually Barber. Also he had 4 sons with Susan Burns. Hudie, Thomas (your grandfather) James, and Vernon. Please let me know if you need any additional information on the Kentucky family.

RE: Ona Orchard
Hi Julie,

Thank you so much for the email address! I will email you some things later today. I would very much appreciate anything you have about my Langford ancestor, Virginia (wife of Bartlett Haley Ingles, Jr.). I have a few photos, but they were all photocopied, or the scan wasn't great. My mother is still living (at age 91!) and would love to have photos of Virginia Langford that are of high enough quality that we could frame them and hang them in her apartment. I understand completely, of course, if you don't have any pictures of her (aside from the family portrait that is posted on Find A Grave). Thank you for the reply!

RE: Ona Orchard
Dear Julie,

I've done a little more searching, and I've found two letters that your father sent to his cousin. I received those letters from the son of the person your dad was corresponding with. The letters are dated June 20, 1967 and July 21, 1967. One of the letters mentions your sister, Rosana. While you likely already have copies of these letters, I'd like to make sure that you do. I'm new to using Find A Grave, so I don't know how to send attachments or obtain your email address to send things to you directly. Thank you!

Hi again, Cousin!

I'm sure you already have the photos, but I did post portraits of John Frederick Langford and his wife, Mary Adams. I received the photos from another cousin. I'm not sure whether I have anything else that would be of interest to you, but I will certainly look. Really nice to hear from you!

RE: Ona Orchard
Hi Julie,
Thank you so much for adding the nickname! I am also descended from Ona Orchard. Ona's daughter, Mary Adams, married John Frederick Langford. Their daughter, Virginia Langford married Bartlett Haley Ingles, Jr. They had my great grandfather, George Boone Ingles. Does any of that sound familiar? Thank you again!

Eliza B. Chesley
hello,
I've updated the memorial to indicate the conflict in sources. If we can find Eliza's headstone that would serve to resolve the conflict.

I noticed the previous message on your public page regarding duplicates. FindAGrave has a clear policy that the first memorial that was created has precedence and that any subsequent duplicates be deleted.
thanks again!

RE: Pope Cemetery
Hi again,
If they are duplicates of the same people, then probably one of us should delete the particular memorial. I think when I first set up some of them, I may not have checked to see if they already existed. I have also been researching the Blunt/Blount family to verify info before posting it. The Loudon, NH area is where many of the early Danville settlers came from (including Blunt/Blount), with quite of few of those marrying into the groups from CT that also came early.
Last time I forgot to tell you that my husband descended through Isaac Wheeler Stanton, Jr (sibling to your Mary "Polly") down through his grandmother Edith "Bessie" May Stanton Forbes (all buried in Danville).
