I have been transcribing cemeteries for a few years, many here in Somerset County, NJ. |
I do a lot of research in Penna, both York County and Snyder County (family/college). I've begun to try to update a Snyder county book (Wagenseller) of Snyder County graves that was published about 1900, focusing on, but not exclusively, those cemeteries NOT included on the Snyder County website.
I am happy to transfer memorials to family members per Find A Grave rules. And if you are not directly related, I do updates once a week. Please use the Edit tab, once per memroial, and I'll add what ever information is appropriate and cite you as the source in the Notes section. PLEASE ONLY ONCE PER MEMORIAL - I cannot be responsible if your multiple requests do not go through, and lately there have been too many requests (multiple pages) to identify duplicate memorials. The issue has been that a subsequent request overwrites a prior request. Hopefully they will eventually fix that. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks for the transfer.

Can you please transfer Lee R. Trevitz #107212103 and his wife Mary H. Radel Trevitz #107212133 to me? They were my great-grandparents, whom I was fortunate enough to meet. Thanks.
Thanks for the info for little Julia Gotwald. I have connected her to her mother, Julia Small Gotwald(141047152) in Prospect Hill Cem. I have also corrected her death date to Nov. In the next few days, I'll check my photos(I'm not finished going through all of them) to see if Fredrick is possibly in them although, some are impossible to read. I gave you credit for the info but if you'd rather I remove your name, let me know.
Thanks again and if you'd like a transfer, let me know and have a Happy Healthy New Year!

Thanks - I have never had this problem before either. Hopefully a one time thing. Most of the people on this site are very helpful. I should have kept the emails. Oh well. Thanks again.
Thanks for the reply - I agree I have been doing this for a very long time but lately have been getting some crazy emails about specific persons because my email was listed as the contributor of an update. Maybe it is just a phase, but it takes more work to look someone up and get their email - I guess, I don't know what the answer is.
Steve, thanks for fixing things.

Hi Steve, I think you're right about the first wife. I'll send you edits for Sophia including links to her parents.
Steve, this refers to your memorial # 72659869 for Margaret Sophia (Mitterling) Arbogast who is linked to Philip Arbogast as her spouse. According to Wagenseller's Snyder County marriages (p. 224) Philip Arbogast married Sophia Spade on Aug 31, 1856. Philip and Sophia appear in the 1860 census but she she is living alone in 1870 since he died in 1864. In the Bowersox genealogy Sophia (Oct 25, 1806-May 2, 1886), d/o John & Julian Spade, married Philip Arbogast and they had no children. Do you have any documentation to prove that Philip's (second) wife was Mitterling as opposed to Spade?
