Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from the Navy, and have retired IN 2001 after 35 years in Law Enforcement. A couple of my hobbies are the documentation and photographing of the tombstones of the Woodmen of the World and the associated fraternal associations, and the photography and documentation of the Civil War veterans headstones where ever I come across them. I had ancestors who fought on both sides of the Civil War. My great Grandfather (Fathers side) fought Confederate (Texas Cav) and his twin brother fought Union side (Colorado Cavalry). My great Great grandfather (Mothers side) fought For the Union from Ohio. I actually actively search for both of the above mentioned types of tombstones in cemeteries where ever I happen to be. My wife usually accompanies me and assists me greatly in these hobbies.

If you have a better quality photo then the one I have posted I will not be offended if you post it.

I'll be more then glad to transfer any memorials, except for my family, to anyone who wishes them, just write and ask.

Lenore Sweeney

Thank you so much for the photo of Lenore Helene (Gilroy) Sweeney. She is my 2 X Great Grandmother. My photo of her headstone is not readable so it is great to see this one.

William Billmyer 's wife
His wife, Lucinda Croyle Billmyer, is buried at Roseville Cemetery in Warren County, IL. On their stone there is more information about what groups he served with, in the war. He has a different middle initial (S) on the stone, but it's him. Thanks for all your work

Earl Henry Ferguson, Sgt.
He was a WWI Veteran (not Civil War). He was the son of Howard E. Ferguson (born Iowa 1867-1933 Colorado).
Earl married Leone Kimball (formerly the wife of Walter Campbell).
Earl Henry Ferguson was born Sept 1888 in Leadville Colorado and died Aug 18,1928.
His wife petitioned the govt. for the tombstone. At the time (1929) she lived in Aztec, New Mexico. She died 1979 Los angles, California.
Thanks so much for the photo of the grave site. It meant a great deal to me!!
