Bio

I have always been interested in history in general and family history in particular and started in my teens asking about our family history and taking notes. I have accumulated quite a lot of information, photographs, documents and records on our lines which are the Georgia, Virginia, NC lines of Dobbs, Kemp, Tippens, Lee, Schultz (from Sweden), Johannson, Ljungberg/ Youngberg (from Sweden), Orgain, Stewart, Lucas, Neblett, Edmondson, Craig, Peek, Aderhold and Westmoreland plus many, many others. I have met many cousins and have uncovered treasures of information about my ancestors--- the good, bad and interesting. FaG has been one of the most rewarding stops on my genealogical journey and I hope to be exploring it and contributing to it for many years to come.

If you have information that you think I might need for my lines or you need information on your related lines, please leave me a message here at FaG. My Virtual Cemeteries at the moment are set up by Family Line.

I want to thank all of those who have contributed photos and maintained memorials and transferred memorials to me. I cannot tell you how happy it made me to discover memorials for so many of my ancestors. I hope to repay the kindness with more of my own contributions and photos soon. Currently, all of the memorials added and maintained by me are family members but I expect that I will be adding some soon that belong with others.

If you have any edits that need to be made for the memorials being maintained by me or need a transfer, please use the Edit tab on the particular memorial, instead of sending a message here and please, if you want a transfer, include your own FaG number. I check my email every morning and every night and that is the best way to be sure I see your request quickly and that I know exactly which memorial you are referring to and to whom it is to be transferred.

Please ask permission before using my photographs, especially those of people. Many are old family photographs, which I consider to be heirlooms and I would prefer that my family not be sold as ephemera online or attached to some meme on social media, i.e., unless I do the selling or attaching! Ha! I will happily give you permission if you have a good reason.

The dead live still, through those who remember them. Each human life is a piece of the gigantic tapestry of humanity. It is nice to have a place where people can be honored, simply because they once lived, even if it was only for a brief time. In your journey through FaG, please stop and leave a flower and maybe a note for someone who may have no one else to remember them.
