Does your Find A Grave profile make you sound bossy, irritable or arrogant? Do you make threats like, "Do things my way, or your message will be ignored," followed by redundant exclamation points? Lighten up. Bullying went out of style in the last century.

Phony-baloney "rules." A few Gravers create faux rules, like "no death certificates on my memorials," despite the fact that the FAQs are perfectly clear: "Death certificates may be added via the 'Add a photo' button on the memorial page." Maybe these folks missed the "follow the rules" and "play nicely with others" lessons in kindergarten.

SAC-senders are the true heroes of Find A Grave -- people getting far too little appreciation for working hard to make other people's memorials more accurate and more complete. If you're a SAC-sender, thanks for knowing that teamwork builds better memorials.

Harlan Green
Jay, When I reviewed this family this morning, I saw that Harlan was born in March 1866. His parents are listed in the Clear Creek MM notes as being married May 12 1866. Since I do not know exactly when Tamer Davis Green died, it could be confusing about who his mother was. The last mention of Tamer is in this same CCMM notes of 1860 and she is listed in the 1860 census. Under the Poplar Ridge MM, Births Deaths record, Selene(Selina) is listed as the mother of Harlan, with his birth date as March 13, 1866, along with his brother Jesse. Hope this helps clear things up.

Zimri Smith memorial
Sir: I don't know what to tell you on this memorial # 131657176. He is not listed in any of the records for this cemetery. I can only speculate as to why. I know of at least two other individuals in the cemetery that were cremated & the ashes were placed here with out notifying the cemetery. Both were done by family members.
The local Historical Society spent 10 years compiling the list of burials from the original plat books, & field checking each entry. In the process they found some that were claimed to be buried here from death certificates,or obituaries, but were actually found buried elsewhere. Possibly he fits into one of these categories?? That's the best I can tell you at this point...

No problem about moving the pictures. I & I'm sure everyone else appreciates the documentation you provide. I made the changes. I have a senior moment, I believe, when I don't notice age differences between mother & son. Lol! I also came across two stone's for a burial last year. One in Mound Cemetery, Pike Co. & the same person on a stone in Highland Cemetery, Highland Co. I was asked to remove mine, so I did, but I don't blame you for keeping yours on. Thanks for all your hard work.

All edits have been completed. As for the change in d.o.b, I changed the date to 1858. I know mistakes were made in death certificate's also, but I've still found them to be the most accurate. :)Thanks!

RE: Sackmaster/Sockmaster
It needs to be deleted. .... yours was first. Just ask them to delete the dupe. If not deleted. ... send it to the admins at Find A Grave. The site Is not big enough for dupes. The LaCrosse area has several duplicators!

Daniel Achor
In reply to your message to me about Daniel's birth date, I take that your are going by census info. Thats OK but if you bring his memorial and look at the picture of his stone you will see it reads 1830. That is where I get that date. Let me know.
