Susan Nix
Susan Nix born 10/15/1832 Edgefield District, SC. died 3/9/1922 Carbon Hill, Walker Co., AL., buried at Old Flatwoods Cemetery, near Nauvoo, AL. was the daughter of Cuthbert Price and Nancy Robertson. Her maiden name was Price. She married Ambrose Nix, Sr. in Edgefield Co., SC. 9/5/1852 ("Edgefield Advertiser", Wednesday, December 8, 1852. "MARRIED, on Sunday evening, the 5th inst., by the same [James BLACKWELL Esq.], Mr. Ambrose NIX and Miss Susen PRICE, all of this District"). This marriage was also cited in “Edgefield County, South Carolina Marriage Records”, by Carlee T. McClendon, R. L. Bryan Pub. Co., Edgefield, SC., 1970. Both Ambrose and Susan (Price) Nix cited in SC. probate records for Susan's father Cuthbert Price (Abbeville Co., SC. Probate Box 120, Pkg. #3542). Can you please change your listing on Find A Grave to reflect the above info. Thank you. Jan Lawson.

RE: Ganns Mount Ararat
I don't know much about this website yet, and how it works, but I would love to help take care of my ancestors cemetery at Mt Ararat. I have been there several times to work on cleaning the headstones. I guess it would be good to do this in the virtual world as well. Thanks for the opportunity!
