Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started genealogy research in 1975 by asking my grandfather who was born in 1881 all about his family. My hopes are to track and find the locations of the graves of my ancestors.
I encourage everyone to be proactive and protect old cemeteries. Cities and towns are running out of land and cemeteries are being build over before families have a chance to fight back.
Consider having your old family cemetery designated as a historical site if your state has that designation and if not petition your state to create a program for historic family and community cemeteries.

I honour families and their rights to manage their loved ones memorials. I will transfer memorials which are not my family. Just E me.

Ambrose Hicks Obituary
Thanks you so much for the obit. In adding it to his memorial I noticed I had not connected his and his wife Sallie. That is now done, thanks to your message.

RE: Linked parents

Thank you so much for adding the links for the little one, I requested... and I'll thank you in advance for correcting his name, when you have the time. :) That request was sent to your "Edits" folder. (You have him listed as "Infant Trusty Leland", when in fact his surname was TRUSTY.)

In closing, while I agree with the "FYI"... editorial you left on my profile page, I'm afraid I do not understand WHY you did. Rest assured I would've requested a transfer of this infant's memorial had I had anything else relevant to add, but only if you did not have time to add it for me.

Emma (Glover) McGowan, Loise (McGowan) Jerkins, Alonzo Gloverū
I am doing an updated cemetery listing Jellico Community Cemetery where Mrs. Emma (Glover) McGowan, Loise Jerkins and Alonzo Glover are buried, for the church records. I also looked at your wonderful Glover family website for more information.

My reason for contacting you is this. You show Mrs. Emma McGowan's, and that of her brother Alonzo (his name is Lonie A. on his headstone) as the children of William Evans and Martha (Jamison) Glover. Mrs. Loise Jerkins is listed as Mrs. McGowan's daughter.

Please, may I use this information for the cemetery listing? I will give you credit for the information. Thank you very much.

Margie, are we cousins, or cousins-in-law? My great grandmother was Betty Daniels from near Covington. I believe her brother Walter is in Mt Lebanon Cemetery, and his children Clyde, Frank, and James Henry. Those Daniels genes show up pretty strong in my family.

RE: Mary E. Russ
You're very welcome for the photographs of your aunt's grave, and thank YOU for your very nice note. I spent the Christmas holidays down in Moultrie with my mom and there were a few pleasant days--which I spent in the cemetery where my dad is buried. I was ready to upload the photographs of the Russ plot just before you requested a photo of Mary's grave, so our timing was perfect!

I hope your weather improves soon. Atlanta's been bitterly cold the past few days, so I'm staying inside for now!

Ulysses Young
Do you know if Chapman Young had a brother named Ulysses and what might have happened to him? He is my 4x great grandfather and I have been searching for him for almost 2 decades now and my mother before me. I finally found him on tax lists and Chapman has been listed in proximity to him on a few things I have found.
Thank you so much for any info!

Pherbia Price Ogburn #32254669
You are not correct about the parents of Pherbia Price that married John Thomas Ogburn. Pherbia Price was the d/o James E. Price & Nancy Glover (1803). The Phereby Glover you mention who was the d/o John Glover & Sarah Pascal was born in 1781, married John Wood, and was the sister of Nancy Glover. Your Phereby was Pherbia Price's aunt.

You need to remove the two note's you left by clicking on them and clicking delete. Only you or Admin can remove them.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
