RE: Ivy Daniel and Effie Belle (Hardesty) Gillikin

Thank you for looking into this. The other memorial by Barb Dohlan at Carteret Memorial Gardens will remain until this can be straightened out. She insists that Ivy and Effie are buried there.

I do know the death certificates state they are at Gethsemane, so don't understand what happened.

Again, thank you.

Ivy Daniel and Effie Belle (Hardesty) Gillikin

I was adding information for Ivy and Effie Gillikin to my family tree, and have come across 2 memorials for them. One by you at Gethsemane Memorial Park, and another at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort added by a Barb Dohlen (Find A Grave Memorial# 122022159). After writing her, she responded:

Death Certificate information was taken into consideration and may have been correct at one point in time. However, after physical inspection of Carteret Memorial Gardens on June 24, 2015, the markers for Ivy and Effie Gillikin are found in the back left corner of Carteret Memorial Gardens near the corn field. They are next to Clifford Raymond Tilghman. These markers have vases with artificial flowers of daylilies in their vases today.

Looks like the same marker in both memorials. Do you know for sure if they are buried there?

Thank you,
Kathleen Bond
