Adding memorials is a great way to honor your family & get to know them better. My main goal is adding everyone buried in Lincoln County, WY & Harrison County, IN. Next projects will be Jasper County, MO & Bourbon County, KY & always adding my LOOMIS family from Essex, ENG, Tolland, CT & Grant County, KY & Pendleton County, KY. Probably, my most active line is the LONG line of Boone County, AR, Sevier County, TN & Ottawa County, OK. Spending time with friends & family on FindaGrave is very relaxing.|
Stevens, Stephens, Loomis, Turner, Webster, Smilie, Smiley, Long, Kupp, Sargent, Sargeant, Plantagenet, Tudor, White, Longspee, Thurman, Boring, Swigirt, Kelley, Duffy, Smith, Bourbon, Grant, Maples, Atchley, Daugherty, Dougherty, Carter, Williams, Downes, Watson, etc.
And related families: Cash, Haggard, Welch, Bush, Hinckley, McCoknkie, Ashton, etc.

Sorry, you have an error on the memorial # 22380615 for Diana Blakemon (wife of Abner). You have her linked to a Leland James Nielson as her father. Problem is: her 'FATHER" was born 20 yrs AFTER Diana died! Please change ;) Her actual maiden name was Adriance, and her real father was George Adriance (born 1780, which makes far more sense since Diana was born 31 Aug 1806). Thank you.

Carol, Regarding memorial 33891680 Since the changes have been made it seems likely that the III should probably be dropped from his name.

I screwed up. I didn't notice that they gave me Vernal Junior Rogers an Junior is the middle name, which I have come across before. I will contact the office an see if they have the one you requested. If you post disappears please repost it. Please drop me a line so I don't loose your contact information.

Thank you for taking the time to research this. It is truly sad to hear that a cemetery has been destroyed. We will still honor him and his lifetime by finding out as much as we can about him and keeping his memory alive, going forward.
Your volunteer efforts are truly appreciated. Thanks so much for what you do for so many families!
Your friend, Jen

His first wife was Martha Boley. She died and he married Mary Jane Jackson. Their first wife was named Martha Boley Stevens in honor of his first wife. James W. Stevens and wife Mary are in the 1875 Kansas state census of Jewell County, Kansas. Martha Boley Stevens married John Christie Brown of neighboring Republic County Kansas.
