|I have never really had an interest in genealogy until my great uncle sent me our Hanson family lineage. Since I'm a computer nut, I entered some of the data online and that was it. I have been "digging" from that point on. I think I enjoy the hunt and finding info for others more than entering data. I am surprised at the people I have been in contact with. It really is a small world.|
If I have made mistakes, please contact me so that I can correct them. I would also be glad to post obituaries if you have them. If you would like someone removed from my listings, please let me know.
You may use any of my photos as long as they will not be used "for profit."

|Larry||Alton Harry Garard|
I was just explaining that Sarah Furnish was Alton Harry Garard's mother, not Sarah Tinsman as you describe in your narrative on the page. :). Sorry for the confusion.

|Larry||Alton Harry Garard|
Mother was actually John D. Garard's second wife, Sarah Ellen Furnish, married in 1877, who is shown in the 1910 census living with Alton in Hannibal, MO. The other siblings are half brothers and sisters with Sarah Tinsman as their mother. Sarah Ellen Furnish Garard died in Hannibal, MO on March 13, 1912. Sarah Tinsman Garard died in Adair County, MO January 25, 1871 at age 35 and is buried in the Sloan's Point Cemetery, with a baby daughter (unnamed) who died the same day.

Thanks for offering to take this memorial Management over to me. That would be great. I have done extensive work on my tree and find a graves in Nebraska. Not too many family trees out their with this Shimek line. In fact anyone who has has copied my tree. I love it when they do that though. It still gives me more info to go on. Lawn Cemetery Box Butte County Nebraska, I am related to about 85% of everyone in that cemetery and all are in my tree. I'm sure you know what cemetery in talking about, and Crawford City Cemetery, Crawford, Dawes County, Nebraska, and Hemingford Cemetery, Hemingford Box Butte County Nebraska I have many relatives their also and all are in my tree. |Robert Hoadley||Maude Johnson 50929460|
Hello Marsha, Thank you for taking the time to post the information on Maude Johnson. This has been a decade long search to find information on my great grandmother's sister Maude Nancy Milligan. I had little info on her, only that she had a daughter named Maude, but no info on her last name or who her father was. Finally broke though that brick wall last night. Maude married Charles A. Johnson in 1904 in Seridan, and they had a daughter Maude Johnson March 06, 1905 and as you know, she died just a few weeks later. Their infant Maude was raised by her Johnson uncle and his sister, her father left for the east coast where me remarried and raised two more children. Maude died in 2010 and her dad in 1958. So very sad all around.
|Carol Surrena||Jesse A. Surrena|
Jesse Albert Surrena, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Surrena of Banner enlisted in the service when 23 years of age on September 23, 1917 and received his training at Camp Lewis. He was sent to France four months after his enlistment. While with the 163rd Infantry in the front lines Pvt. Surrena contracted bronchitis and died at Aix le Baines France on September 23, 1918.
I noticed that the cemetery information reads that he died in Sheridan.
I appreciate your work. It is amazing to be able to sit at a computer in Pennsylvania and find all the Surrena ancestors.
Thank you so much.
|Jerry O||Larry and Jean Doyle in Sheridan Cemetery|
Larry and Jean Doyle were married for several years and raised three sons. I guess that they divorced or separated. I knew them back in 1961-1966 when living in Sheridan.
