We're a transplant here in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina.|
Russ was born in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; raised in Richfield, Summit County, Ohio; retired from USAF (Seymour Johnson AFB) in 1995 and stayed here. Have been working on my family history since 1995 - the homepage shows the brick walls in my research.
Resa was born in Flora, Clay County, Illinois; raised in Flora and Sanford, Volusia County, Florida.
We met in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama, when I was stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base, in 1982; married in 1983.
Spent 6 years stationed at Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base, Germany. Transferred to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
When asked why we grave hop - It's something we can do together; costs very little; and we get to know a bit of Wayne County history!

You are most welcome. I didn't know if I should have posted Willis Douglas's stone. There was no death year.

Thanks much for your work and time to retrieve these markers for me.

You're right! I do know that. It was her great-grandmother who had twin daughters listed. That's what happens when you multitask and work on several ancestors at the same time! Thanks for making the links.

Thank you so much again! I can't tell you how thrilled I am for what you've done! I am very sorry... I messed up when I made the pages and forgot to put in the photo requests... can I do that now so that you can click and get credit for the photos?
I have worked on getting the WONDERFUL info you sent put in today and made some family links... I did the ones I was SURE of and am researching the rest... unfortunately the little ones who lived so briefly do not appear on any censuses. I think I'll dig a little more before I link the rest, even though I feel like it's clear from the stones who they go with.
If you see anything I made a mistake on or could do better, please let me know.
I would LOVE to solve the mystery of where my gg grandfather F.B. Andrews lies... my worry is that his grave is there at Willow Dale in the family plot unmarked, as his obituary states "the funeral took place yesterday and the interment was in the family plot in Willow Dale Cemetery". Another obituary I found for him says "the interment took place at Goldsboro Sunday afternoon in the family burying ground". At that point there was no other family burying ground that I can think of as his parents had moved there to settle from Connecticut. His wife is buried elsewhere with their daughter's family (so I don't think he was buried in her family burying ground or it seems like she would be there with him). It is a frustrating mystery!
Thank you again for everything,
