I've lived in the same small town all my life. I'm married and have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Love family research and sharing what I have found|
Just a note: The reason I have so many "memorials managed" is because a friend asked for help maintaining the memorials! Will transfer, if they are not related to myself or my husband.

I don't find it either, and had always wondered about the similarity to Katherine Willis Carter who is definitely in Lathrop Cem where I found the one I asked about. K.W. Carter is #17627824. I wonder if it was removed because of error, but your name was on it so you would have to be the one, wouldn't you? Anyway it doesn't look as if it is anything I need to pursue, or that you could help me. I notice you have a new message regarding Grantville, Ks - that is where one of my Catherine Willis' descendants settled and where I lived thru 3rd grade. Thanks for the reply, wish it could have gone somewhere.

Do you know anything about this person or the other Willises buried in Clinton Co? If Katherine is the same as the Katheine Willis Carter then she is too late for the grandma I'm looking for but not necessarily unrelated. Mine was living in Platte Co in 1870, an old lady, can't find her anywhere and can't learn much about her but there is a Clinton Co connection..mostly Clay, Buchanan, DeKalb , Platte Co.

Your welcome. I wish I'd had a better pic of the stone but that photo was taken long ago. You can see the dates on it but have to enlarge it. All the grave markers that are there, except Roberts, were made by my mother. She made a mold and used bagged concrete. I had photos but can't find them. If you are related to Robert (he is my great uncle) I have a couple more photos I could send you. Also, his death certificate was found on Ancestry.com

This lady is the mother of one of my church friends and she just died last week....I didn't know the lady........but I checked her obituary and checked their family tree on Ancestry.com and came up with this information. Thanks for trying to get it fixed. Someone had obviously entered sites when they bought lots, probably even before he died, and used their birth dates as death dates. It takes us all to keep Find-A-Grave useful to so many families!!! Thanks for all you do!

You're welcome. I just stopped by the cemetery and took a few random pictures. I didn't even realize I was fulfilling a request. I'm glad I could do it though.
|Vicki Edwards||Thank you - Sloan's in Prarie Ridge|
Thanks again for verifying Viola was the daughter of Armistead and Martha Sloan by confirming she is buried in their Sloan plot at Prairie Ridge. Also for the earlier transfer of Armstead's memorial and incorporating other edits I've sent. I hope to get to Prairie Ridge at some point, just don't know when.
