Postcard from Lancaster County
Hi Kimble,

This postcard is of my grandfather's store! Thanks so much for providing it! He moved from Lincoln to L.A. about 1914 I think. I have an interest in genealogy. Can you tell me if anything was written on the postcard, the dates and the correspondents? Or even better if you have access to scan it. This is great memorabilia and a real treasure find!

The postcard in question is:

"David R. Cohen's Exclusive Optical Store 1234 O Street, Lincoln, NE Circa early 1900's. The only history on back is The Simplicity Co. Publishers, Chicago, Ill. U. S. A."

Thanks so much!

Kimble:

Thank you for posting photos. My Grandad, Bill Friend, originally told me the story of Freeman Friend, my 4 times great grandfather. I'm new at this (just started today) and I've got genealogy fever now!

RE: D. F. Martin
Hello Kimble, thank you for contacting me about your uncle D. Friend Martin. Yes, he was part of the project to restore US Army files. From his micro film data is where I acquired the photo I posted on his memorial. I took the grave photo when I was in Colorado at the time. The photos you added of he are great and add to his trbute. Thanks again and best always,

Hi Kimble,

Just thought I would transfer ownership of your family to you. I do want to put in Elam Morris Brown, son of Asher Preston and Carrie A. Brown and his wife, Della Rebecca Bowers, if you don't mind, as I have Morris Brown, his father listed with all his Brown family. I note some typos I did in John Seamond's Memorial, if you want you can correct! I typed it once, lost it and had to retype and was tired!

Hi Kimble. You are very welcome for the flowers, but I'm not related. Was just strolling through and left some flowers because He didn't have any. God Bless. Barb J.
