RE: Which cemetery next?
Dear Betty, Hope you are doing well this summer. I am finally back visiting cemeteries on a regular basis. Been quite a summer for me with open heart surgery, and then developing a staph infection. Too much time spent at Abbott. But, happy to be out walking cemeteries with my camera.

Hope to finish the Butternut Cemetery and then start on another. Blessings on you!

glennie/george lamp in Sterling Cemetery
Hi, I am wondering where you got your info on who our family knows as Glennie Lamp was named George. The grave stone shows Glennie Lamp but I think it was put up several years after he died. I have not been able to find any info on him as far as his birth or death. Thanks

RE: Which cemetery next?
Betty, how about our trying to work with Butternut Valley Cemetery. Haven't been there, but it shouldn't be hard to find.

Grandmother Ledbeter
Grandmother Ledbeter was Lydia (Shook) Ledbeter, m. to James abt 1821 in Kitley Twp, Leeds, Ontario, Canada. I see that her headstone clearly states that she was born in 1811, but I have a problem with that information. She appears in the 1804 census taken in Kitley Twp, Leeds, Ontario, Canada with her parents Philip and Elizabeth Shook. She was their oldest child and at that date, the only child. Her brother Adam wasn't born until 1808. Lydia was my third great-grandmother.

The records I have found indicate a birth year of about 1801 for Lydia. Her dob in the 1875 Minnesota state census was 1799 and in the 1871 Canadian census was 1801. I realize the dob birth on the headstone can't be changed but it is inaccurate and should be noted.

Lydia is the mother of William b. 1830 d. 1895 in this same cemetery. and grandmother to Hollan J. and William W. also buried in the Blue Earth Cemetery.

Incorrect spouse
DeLores Irene Roalson Hicks memorial # 18688983 was not married to Albert L Hicks. She was only married to Hallie C. Hicks Albert's brother. Hallie and DeLores are my Mother and father-in-law.

Please make the necessary changes.

Thank you

Incorrect DOD
My father, Richard Mack Wayman memorial # 18688442 died on February 13, 2005, not 2003 as recorded on this site.

Please make the necessary correction.

Also, why aren't the gravestones pictured for this cemetery instead of the entrance gate?

Thank you

RE: got notice of photo taken
Thanks, Betty, but I found no photo for Margaret (Cool) Harding 118288763. Strange. Anyway, I hope you're well. I had planned to go over your DNA results with you, but time slipped away. Let me know if you want to meet by phone. Thanks.
