I have been involved in Genealogy for 38 years and my idea of a great vacation (after a cruise) is to hunt for graves in cemeteries. I have 5 children and they have come to expect that when we are traveling and see an unusual cemetery that we will stop and look. I like to be involved with cleaning cemeteries and helping to fix them up and then recording the gravestones that are in them. I do like to quote sources and think that a major part of genealogy is to insure that the information is correct. |
My wife likes to accompany me into these cemeteries and becomes as excited as I when we make a find.
If you send me corrections or updates on memorial's please bear with me. I travel a lot and make the updates when I can. If they are my family, I do verify information with my records before I update as many people confuse names and ask me to update the wrong person. Many names were entered before we had the ability to link families together so some of them have not been updated.

|Fran Bundy||RE: Snarky|
Fine, Snarky, as you called me... lol
Thanks for the laugh!
I have never sent you a personal insult as you did to me.
I think that one should go to Findagrave Admin. It's a matter of principle. Please refer to the Findagrave guidelines for the time frame on requests. Or, transfer memorials to someone who can review and make suggested updates, if you are too busy working. This is suppose to be a team effort.
YOU do not know me... I do have life outside of Findagrave and I can write you a dissertation, if you care to know since you have continually suggested that Findagrave is my life.
The use of Findagrave is not complicated nor does it take a great deal of time, anyway.

On the note I sent to you on Elizabeth, the data was for her husband William Caudle. Sorry!
But, I show Elizabeth in the 1850 Surry County, NC census (current day Yadkin County) as a 19 year old (age fits time line) daughter of Jinsey Head, who I believe is actually Isaac Head who married Jane Dial in Surry County, NC on 5 Jan 1821.

I submitted an edit requesting a transfer and see that you state you travel. Not sure if you saw it, so I'm requesting another way.
Mary Elizabeth Plyler Ghent is my Great Grand Aunt. Can you please transfer to me?

Your memorial for Sarah "Day" Clark #6898371 is a duplicate. The other memorial has a photo of the grave marker, but cemetery is listed as Bradleyville. Are Bradleyville and Brownbranch the same cemetery? Is it possible the marker is not in the cemetery she is actually buried in? The memorial of her husband, Isaac Maggard, is also a duplicate.

In case you were wondering, the source on those "edits" I have entered via the tab system (mainly plot numbers) -- is the book "Our People And Where They Rest: A Visit to 104 Old Cemeteries in Eastern Oklahoma," James W. Tyner, Maxine Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons, American Indian Institute, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1970-1985, (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97) There wasn't a place for me to put that in the edit form.
Thanks for all your help! Best wishes.

|Fran Bundy||Error on Emma Plyler|
Thank you for correcting your error.
Have a great Christmas season.
|Fran Bundy||Emma Plyler|
Could you make a correction on her inscription, please?
You entered "Daughter of CA and SG Plyler" in error.
This should read "Daughter of CA and SC Plyler" for Sallie Charlotte, of course. Thank you, John.
|Angela Hughes||RE: Howze|
Thank you so much!
Hello, I am a descendant of Barnett (Barney) and Mollie Decker-Howze who are buried in the Graysn Cemetery. I was wondering if you have pictures of the tombstones?
