Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.

Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.

Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.

Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.

Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.

Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.

Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.

Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

I am not sure who our mutual ancestor is (I believe it's William Robert Burks Sr.) but we are definitely distant cousins. Would love to exchange info with you.

Joseph W. Morrow Grave
There is an inscription at the bottom of this grave which I cannot read - can you tell me what it says - it is on the base. The grave beside his is Amanda Jane Underwood and she was his wife does it not have Morrow on it?? I am confused because there is a marker supposedly for Joseph W Morrow in a cemetery here in Leake County which gives birth date of 25 Mar 1832 but the same death date as inscribed on this marker.

Hi Shirley, William is my Great Grandfather. My grandmother, Agnes Louise (Honeycutt) Pinaire, was one of 11 children born to William H and Agnes Sophronia (Wilkes) Honeycutt. As far as Agnes' family the trail has dried up so far with her. William Henderson was born 4-9-1876 in LA but I never knew where exactly. He died 6-24-1959.His parents were Eliza Ann Walker (1848 to 1901)and John Bernard Honeycutt (1841 to 1924. Both were born and died in LA. John's parents were Susan Ann Mixon (1825 Wilcox, AL to 1860 in LA) and Austin Honeycutt (1812 LA to 1911 LA). Eliza's parents were Martin Walker and Sarah Ann Gorman. Her grandparents were (Paternal) Martin Walker and Ann Webb. and (Maternal) were Simpson Gorman and Vashti Maria Vann.

My grandmother Agnes Louise Honeycutt Pinaire (1907 LA to 1988 KC,MO buried in Hot Springs, AR) married my grandfather Francis Ulrich Michael Pinaire (1893 Wichita, KS to 1973 Hot Springs, Ark). Agnes was my step grandmother. My grandfathers first wife was the one that gave birth to all my mother's siblings except my Uncle Howard. As the story goes, my grandmother Mary Susanne Kazel died shortly after giving birth to my mother. The youngest of 7 children and grandpa married Agnes and they had Uncle Howard. Agnes is buried in Wichita KS and Frank and Agnes are buried in Ark. That's about all I can tell you about the Honeycutt's except way back in the late 1600's, the Honeycutt name was spelled HUnnicutt. Back in 1625 Augustine Hunnicutt came to the US from England and lived in Surry, VA. They didn't move to LA until some time after 1745 then it was Monroe, LA. If you need more info, I have it but not much more, just snippits here and there. Thanks for asking about my family. Carolyn
