Yes I know Rockaway was a place to go. We lived about two miles out of town and my husband worked in Branson. Yes the pig had a few piglets and we paid for his services so all ended well on both sides.
I will get ahold of the office at Hazelwood and ask if she is there. If Belle is there I will let you know and what info they have on her. I know the people there very well. Have been friends with the office lady for years.

No, I'm sorry I don't have any info on Missouri. Sorry I can't be of further help!

Thank you Brad. So are you part of that Forsyth, Taney County, Missouri Melton family? I cannot remeber which Melton family it was but when my husband and I was down there about 1976 they loaned us a boar hog that stayed with our sows for a week. It was much appreciated. We actually was in Rockaway Beach MO. at the time. I have added this info to the memorial you sent me.

Related only because of the Ragsdale line, not directly; about 7th cousin, 1x removed. I've been working the Ragsdale genealogy for many years like a puzzle trying to link them together with our Immigrant Ragsdale, Godfrey. If you are related, I'm happy to transfer any of your family memorials that I maintain.

Brad.How would I get a picture of the GAR reunion at Bradleyville?My wife was a Stevens,and her GGrandfather Henry I.Stevens Jr.was there.The actual date of this event was 08/29/1907.Also her GGrandfather Red Tom Mitchell was there.The Stevens was on her Dads side,and the Mitchell on her Mothers.Red Tom was too young to be in the war,but he was present.These men from Garrison were members of Corporal Dokes post #406.It was held at the Bill Smith hotel in case you are interested.Most all her kin are buried at Garrison,Peace,and Swansville cemeteries.Thanks for what you do,and thank you for your service to our great country.Richard.

Last month you added a photo to dad's memorial page. Find A Grave#26792653 By any chance is it a cropped image from a group photo? At one time we had a small collection of photos taken at the PD. The collection spanned a good portion of the nearly 20 years he spent there. Since mom's death, I have not been able to locate them. If you have access to the original and it is a group photo would you please email me a copy?
Thank you for adding it to his page. It was a very nice surprise.

|onery cussette||James DeLong|
For two years now, James A. DeLong b 1859 d 1895, buried in LA, has been my homepage on Find A Grave. I've been busy editing someone's book, and just noticed today you posted the death notice!
Are you absolutely positive that this is Maggie Carriger DeLong Kinney's son? And is there a marriage record?
It made sense to me that it would be him. He had Carriger family in CA, albeit further north. And he would've known how to operate a telegraph machine, since the LA James is listed as one in the city directory. But I didn't know anyone who could verify this was Nat's stepson. I'd be interested in talking about this! :)
