Bio and Links
Greetings! I am researching the following surnames; Croft, Butler, Glover, Franklin, Reynolds, Bracy, Beshears, Harry, Busse, Linebarger.

I am happy to transfer any memorials to direct descendants -- following the FAG guidelines. Also, if you want me to link individuals please be prepared to cite source information for the link (ie. birth certificate, census record, personal family information). I do not want to perpetuate bad research and information -- just my way of ensuring accuracy.

Updated 10/20/12 - I have been without internet connection for the last year, so my apologies to all who have emailed corrections/additions/messages to me. I am working on those now and hope to have them all completed/answered by the end of the year. Check back then to see if your change/addition/message has been responded to - if not, please send me another message in case I missed it. Boy have I missed Find-A-Grave!

Does anyone know any of the particulars about James Morgan Croft? In particular, he was not buried in a cemetery?

Eurah Everett Croft Family ?
Hello! I am related to the Bracy family. Evelyn Ira Bracy West is my paternal grandmother. I have a question about Eurah's parents, Julia Frances "Fannie" Glover Croft & Leander Croft. It appears to me that they separated. I wonder if anyone knows any of the particulars?? Did they divorce or did they only separate? Does anyone know why? I know I'm probably being nosy, but I can only ask. I appreciate any help. By the way, I live in KCMO. Apparently E E Croft lived here at the time of his death.

Dorathea Friederica GOLDSTEDT Gren

Born 29 July 1800 Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Died 26 Oct 1882 Mills, Iowa, USA

Dorathea Friederica GOLDSTEDT "Green/Grehn" was the eldest child of Johann Christian Goldtedt and Maria Katharina GREHNS Goldtedt of Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark (later became part of Germany). She would meet and marry Jürgen Gosch "Green" GREHN (1793-1849) on 14 Nov 1823 in Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark (Denmark was part of Germany at that time). This was the second marriage for Jürgen Gosch "Green" GREHN whose first wife, Elsabe GOLDSTEDT "Green" Grehn (1802-1823), had passed away. Elsabe was Dorathea's sister.

Jürgen and Dorathea's farm was called "Bummelund" in Demark (later Germany)

Together Dorathea and Jürgen would have eleven children:

Johanna Elisabeth GREEN Holmes Hass Boies Horn (married 4 times) (1825-1895),
Fredrich Christian Green (1828-1905),
Emilie Friederica GREEN GOÖS (1830-1907),
Heinrich August Green (1833-1915),
Carl Jürgen Green (1834-1925),
Diederica Catharina GREEN Hoffman (1836-1906),
Maria Dorothea GREEN Hinz GÖSCH (1838-1893),
Adelina Dorathea GREEN Peterson (1841-1903),
Catharine Wilhelmina GREEN Kiersch (1841-1933),
Gottlieb Christian Green (1843-1909),
Dorothea Katerina GREEN Reinohl (1845-1910).

In 1849, after her husband passed away, Dorathea left Denmark (later Germany) for the United States and settled in Mills, Iowa. Most of her children would come to Iowa over the next twenty years.

FULLENWIDER, Joseph & Sophie, Iowa
Can anyone tell me if there are any living relatives of Joe & Sophie FULLENWIDER from IOWA? I do not believe they had children but I am hoping they have living neices or nephews. My grandmother, Minnie M. MOSER (nee ERICKSON) was a good friend of Sophie's in the 1920 & 30s and beyond. My grandmother's photos have been passed on to me and I would like to share these with family members. There are many, many snapshots of Sophie and Minnie and it appears they had a lot of fun. I also have some very nice photographer shots of Sophie that are mounted on the heavy cardboard folders. These pictures are too beautiful to leave until eventually no one will even know who this. There are many pictures of the "girls" dressed up for Golden Spike Days held in the late 1930's. I remember visiting Joe & Sophie for chicken dinners on Sundays. The chicken was alive when we arrived from the city! I could not eat it! Please help me unite these precious photos to a family member. Thanks!

Plumer/Salem Luth
We have missed you Ellie. I managed a trip back home and detoured through Salem Luth Cem back in Sept. It was a wonderful trip and have many good photos - most of which are up now. Of course that created a flurry of emails for SAC w/the info obtained from tombstones. Sorry you have them piled up. It can be so inconvenient when the internet or computer is down, I know. Hopefully you will be able to get to things now, but will be glad to re-send in the new year if they are lost or were not clear. Best Wishes for good holidays and TY TY TY for all the work you've done on 'our' relatives in that burial ground.

Salem Lutheran/Plummer Settlement Cemetery
Hi; I noticed that my 2nd Great Grandfather you have listed is buried in Salem Lutheran Cemetery; Mills county, Iowa. Is that cemetery the same as the Plummer Settlement Cemetery. The Plummer settlement Cemetery, in Oak Mills township, Mills county, Iowa shows that Jurgen Brandt born: Feb 23, 1817- died: April 23, 1906. Is buried there as well as his wife Anna Maria(Muller) Brandt and son Jurgen Bernhard Brandt ((1857-1944). I've read some history of both the Plummer settlement and the Salem Lutheran Church and this is a bit confusing as my 2nd Grat Grandfather can't be buried in both places.
