I started adding memorials to Find A Grave because I believe that everyone should be remember, even if there's no one left to mourn. |
I'm using cemetery records to add memorials to Find A Grave. I'm also adding headstone photos, obituary transcriptions, and family links when possible.
If you have any questions, want to add any information or links, or correct any information, please use the 'Edit' to send the request. It makes it so much easier.
With permission, obituaries on the memorials that I've created have come from published obituary books written by the now late Wendell Tombaugh and Jean Cragun Tombaugh.

I am writing to let you know that two adopted Zartman family members have been cremated. Jack Lee Zartman who was adopted by Jack Lee Wallace who died in 2008 and Alice Jane Zartman who became many other names including Alyce Jean Wallace who passed away in April 2011. Any original Zartman family members who do have all the legal papers on these adoptions, please contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org. I am Goldie's and Manford's granddaughter; Alice Jane's daughter.

Hello. I wanted to say thank you for the photo of the grave stone of Fredrick and Margaret Graeber located in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery which you posted on Findagrave.com.
As for your photos ... may I have permission to post them (and any other of your photos of my ancestors' and/or their graves that you may have posted or will post in the future) on my Ancestry.com file. I post a message under the photo giving credit to the person who took the photo. I have no interest in publishing any books or using the photos in any way other than for genealogical purposes. I have several things I post under the photos depending on the "owner" of the photo's desires. I have two below ... if you will allow me to post your grave photos on my Ancestry file then I'll place the statement of your choice. The second one has a _____ in it and that's where I would place your e-mail address so people can contact you directly for permission.
NOTE: This photo was obtained from a Findagrave.com photo volunteer and the volunteer has kindly given me permission to post this on my Ancestry.com file. You should take the steps to contact the owner of the photo for permission to use this photo for your personal use ... permission is NOT granted by me for any use as it is not mine to give.
NOTE: This photo was obtained from a Findagrave.com photo volunteer. Permission is NOT granted by me for any use as it is not mine to give. You must contact _______ for permission to use this photo.
Again, thank you so much for your kindness ... Find A Grave volunteers are wonderful people :-)

I am searching for info on Dennis Lynch born 1841, I believe in Ireland. His parents were John and Margaret. They lived in Dedham, MA from 1840's to 1850's. Do you have any info for Dennis Lynch?

|Carl Catherman||Mollie Stetler|
Just wanted to thank you for creating the memorials for Mollie and her son. FYI, her husband George died in Chicago on May 20, 1916 but I don't know where he is buried.

I submitted an edit but just after I hit send I realized I had entered a typo !!!
Isabella's maiden name was Ruffolo with two "o"s, NOT Ruffalo. Thanks for all your work! D
